How do you prove the existence of a being that never shows itself? Faith, hope, and these other things are what keep religion strong. It's not a matter of whether or not someone believes in God, or whether God really exists, it's the fact that people need something to help them be better. A reason, to try harder.

Everything in my life I have done on my own. The times I did ask God for help when I used to believe, I got no help from him. So I said forget it and went out on my own and rely on myself. I just can't have faith that some mysterious all powerful "god" will do everything I need for me.
