The best one in my personal and use opinion is the original Rapala..I have been using this lure for years and it has not let me down yet.

There is no real "best bait" for bass. largemouth fishing depends on several factors. Air pressure, water coloration, ect. I find that sometimes a minnow and bobber fished close to heavy cover works well. Or a rapala jointed in the red crawfish patter works well.

The best lure for large -mouth bass is a top water buzz bait,it should be black & yellow or chartruese. If this is not producing try a 1/8 ounce white jig and a berkley power worm.

A Kinami Flash or a Zoom lizard will work great spring summer and fall. Fish them in different manners til 1 works. Dont get to far of shore stay close 2 structure. In winter u want to be off shore; a big creek near the summer hot spots is ideal. But i would have to fish Strikekings Wild shinner.

LOL... why did I know Bass Fisherman would beat me to this??? But he is all over it. Soft plastics are always in my arsenal... tournament or fun with my kids... it doesn't matter. They have produced the most consistant results of all of my lures and baits. Granted, there are times that a frog, a popper of a spinner may get me a good fish... but consistancy, soft plastics.

Bass Fisherman gets my vote on this one!!

A 7 inch Black Power worm will work on any lake in the country. Texas rigged, florida rigged or weightless is great.

I agree with clfdwlr but I would add a buzzbait and a pop R for some surface action,,,that should cover you for all situations.
