We are not born to kill- we are born to help our species survive. It's our attitude ( our after me the "Sintflut" attitude) that endangers and kills. Killing for survival is deep in each of us- I guess....but this "Es" (meaning: "It"- instinctive needs) has long been dominated by our "Ueber-Ich" (morals, rules of society), which tells us what not to do....not to kill, no matter what....- our Ueber-Ich causes us to have a scruple/conscience....which enables us to redeem ourselves and save the world instead of destroying it....it's a struggle between good and evil....killing is bad- preserving is good. We don't quite get there,...no matter how hard we try....but denying our efforts to preserve would be giving up. So, no....I think our primal instinct to kill only exists deep within for a situation when absolutely needed....Our ignorance and helplessness in preserving life on earth and earth itself is a different story. ...We have to work together as one people in this matter to most of all preserve our species (which is only possible by making sure earth can sustain us while we human beings still exist), because long after we are gone earth will still be here....nature will prevail-maybe at first we seem to have destroyed it at one point- just enough to let us die out...then it comes right back and makes space for life again ..etc, etc, etc.
