HD-DVD is the next big thing for DVD consumers. I found out on the internet that the newly released DVD movies are still more than $10 today. HD-DVD should be $20 or more next year or two. Is there a possibility?

The problem facing the movie companies is that smart consumers have an idea how much it costs to produce a DVD. Once Americans figured it out with CD's, sales plummeted.

Exactly the same as now with DVD's.

Knowing this, the cost for DVD will have to go down to satisfy the anger of the consumer.

not until consumers really catch on to it & start buying them in large amounts for now the format battle is keeping future buyers from getting into it when there is a clear winner then you will see prices come down. just like dvd's early yrs movies were 22 to 27 bucks give it time to grow 2 to 3yrs you will see it happen or it will not survive.

no because companies release movies to make money, you should wait till the movie is outdated (by a few weeks or a month or so) then the prices usually go down.
