Are you sure that he is not planning on asking you? Are you asking him because he has not asked you? This is a very important thing in a mans life, and whether they admit it or not, they love doing this. I dont know if you have talked about this at all, but make sure that you are not taking anything amazing away from him as well. I was going to propose to my fiance, and I thought about it really hard, but I knew that this is something that only happens once and that he would say yes, but he may also have been disappointed with the fact that he did not get to ask me first. I am all about not being traditional and if you really want to propose then go for it, but make sure that you are not taking away his proposal to you. Guys do grow up thinking that they are the ones that are supposed to do this kind of thing, and when they are ready for marriage, they actual really look forward to doing it.

Before you propose make sure he wants to get married. Then have a nice picnic in your living room floor. It would be real romantic if you had access to a fire place or used candles. Once it's time for dessert then make your move. It's more intimate and personal that way and plus you won't be making a fool of yourself by proposing to a man in public. Not good for the girls!

Very few men get roses from women. And this act of giving even just a rose to the man you love may mean so much to him without you saying anything at all. If he asks you, gently answer him with a smile and a blush (if at all possible for you to blush immediately) and don't say a word. He will understand you with those gestures. At least, you did not initiate telling him verbally that you love him a lot.

A woman proposing to a man is a turn-off for most of them. Don't be one of those women who have turned off the men they loved because they initiated to let their men know about how they felt for them.

THIS IS A QUESTION YOU SHOULD HAVE ASKED THE MEN ALSO! THE BEST WAY TO PROPOSE TO ANYONE IS TO THINK ABOUT WHAT THE 2 OF YOU HAVE SHARED TOGETHER. IF YOUR FIANCE' IS SOMEONE WHO IS EASILY EMBARRASSED THEN OBVIOUSLY YOU DON'T WANT TO PROPOSE TO HIM IN A VERY PUBLIC PLACE. IF YOU 2 LOVE SPENDING QUIET TIME AT HOME THEN MAYBE A SPECIAL DINNER AT HOME WOULD DO IT FOR YOU. THINK ABOUT WHERE YOU GUYS FIRST MET AND SEE IF THAT WORKS FOR YOU. MOST OF ALL MAKE IT COME FROM THE HEART AND I'M PRETTY SURE HE'LL LOVE IT.

Are you sure you want to propose to him? He may be disappointed that he did not get the chance to do it and may be embarrassed. I know this is 2006 but still, it is something that most guys think about for a long time and look forward to doing. I would wait until he pops the question.

I took my fiance to Paris on Valentines and proposed there, but some other ideas i had were a banner in the sky, treasure hunt, you could propose on a special occasion like his birthday, etc...
Hope i have been of help.
Good Luck x

God is suppose to send you your man, you should not be looking. But, if you feel like you have to do. Plan a romantic dinner and just tell him how you feel about him and JUST ASK.

Some men might think you are too aggressive and that you will try to wear the pants in the relationship.

oh woman... This is a mans job and if he hasn't asked he might not be ready for the commitment, I would talk about the idea before you propose to him maybe then it might get in his head, then he might propose to you! good luck

Do you have any talents you could use? My fiance took me out to dinner and then when we got home, he played a song on his guitar and sang to me. Towards the end of the song he stopped and said oops because he said he had dropped the pick in the guitar. When he was shaking it to get it out, my ring fell out. He got down on his knee and then proposed :) Best of luck
