Is this just a minhag (custom) or a Halacha (law)?

I'm not sure if it is a minhag or halacha but there is a din that any minhag that is the accepted practice becomes halacha (mandatory). Therefore, it really doesnt matter what it is - we still have to do it.

probably because they are all so dammed ugly with long weird noses,deep pockets to keep all their cash in with runny noses..

I dont know the answer to this questions sorry...but that last guy was a real scum bag (robert p), and no I'm not jewish, I dont have to be, to be offended by that.
