Please don't suggest philosphical things, albums, or vacation trips. I want something real goooood and surprising which could make them feel special

Kinda hard for us to not suggest things like memory books or vacation trips - or anything philosophical but still be something that will make them feel special. Only you know what will make them feel special. They've been married a long time, but not so long that it's time for the hoo-haw party. If you have old movies of their lives, you could get them and have a professional collage of their life together so far put together on a DVD....or, you could rent out an old theatre and give them a private showing (complete with their names on the marquee!) You could rent a private room at a swank restaurant, pay for a private waiter (and the dinner, of course) - complete with limosine service to and from home or hotel. You could get them out of the house and send in a crew to clean and do things that they haven't gotten around to doing (like landscaping). Doing something special and surprising takes a lot of creative thought and planning - and only you know their routine and their likes and dislikes to make something like this happen.

A gift certificate to a bed and breakfast where they can get away and enjoy a romantic weekend together.

A framed family tree with all their childrens pictures on it.
Something they could really use around the house to make their life easier.
Gift certificates for their favorite restuarant.
