You shouldn't dump her just because you need to study, if you do still care about her you should try studying togeter, it is just nasty to dump her if you don't have a real reason.

Well I don't know about the "best" way, there is really no such thing - no matter how u do it the girl will be hurt, but I cant tell u some things u shouldn't do - that is, as one person on here suggested, show up with another girl, neither should u sms or email her with the news. The nicest thing u can do is tell her to her face and explain why ur doing it - don't spin a stupid story coz she will see right through it and be hurt even more - just be honest and if possible stay friends for a little while and things will eventually settle down and she'll move on without any nasty memories.

Well, wouldn't be nice if you just dumped her like that, you can always explain to her but don't make it seem as if your books are more important. If she doesn't get it, then make the "moves". Show her you don't have the time and then you won't have to dump her, she 'd leave herself maybe after one or two arguments.

wtf - you need to study, can you not make a compromise, dude, you'll realise that studying isn't the be all and end all, and you'll also find your going to need your girlfriend when the going gets tough, because of my girlfriend s studying we don't get to see each other much, twice a week, one night in the week for an hour and half, and one night at the weekend for 3-4 hours - its something you come to terms with if you cant find time for her, why did u start going out with her in the first place?

Why dump her - if you like each other, just explain that you need to put things on hold for a few weeks or months. If she likes you enough she'll not be happy about it but she'll understand, then you two could pick things up after your exams.

Tell her straight, but kindly. Tell her to her face, that is the best way (I know it is hard) Tell her soon, don't delay.
Say nice things too (truthfully) Say, "You are a very sweet person, but I feel I need to concebtrate on my studies...." Tell her there is no -one else, its just that you need to put work forst for a while.

I do not think there is any other way but being honest. usually peopel sense these things as you might unwittingly given out hints. but I'll tell you do not dumo her because you need to study tell her you want some alone time, for studies. Good Luck:)

may be u dont feel that strongly for her and thought of letting her go is not bothering u.talk to her and tell her clearly how u feel about the whole thing.it will be good for both of u.if u have to end it,end it in a mature and honest way.

A - Tell her to read this question. Or,
B - Video tape you banging her good looking sister, then leave it around for her to find. (Making sure you keep a copy for yourself of course)
