As in judaism and chritanity, islam also has serverl designations but As Rabbi to judaism, Imam to islam

I do not what is the duties of a rabbi.
In Islam we have Imam, who leads the prayer of a group of people. We have a Shaikh who is supposed to be a learned and a scholar in Islamic studies.

anyone can lead people to prayers, not necessary u have to be imam. i have led people to prayer and i am just a normal person.
but imam is a person who preach, lead people to prayers, a person with knowledge. so imam can be equal to the rabbi.
