Cut a lemon into quarters and place in a pint jug. Cover the lemon with boiling water and let it steep overnight. Next day you have a flea repellent that you can use in a spray bottle. Spray all over your dog remembering especially behind the ears and around the head generally (careful of eyes), around the base of the tail (once again keep away from delicate bits) and under your dog’s ‘armpits’.

Natural does NOT mean nontoxic! So many people confuse the terms. Pyrethrins and citronella are from natural sources...but it doesn't mean they aren't toxic. Foxglove is natural but is TOXIC. Anything that can kill a flea *can* have a reaction to the dog. I've tried many things - including the Dawn, flea collar in the vaccum, etc and have yet to find something that WORKS. Including the once a month drops. Fleas are bad this year. I've looked for solutions due to fleas on baby kittens - which can't be subjected to most flea stuff til 12 weeks. I haven't yet found something that truly works...including weekly baths with Dawn as I'd heard that too. And if you've ever tried bathing a cat - even a little one - you can appreciate the cat was NOT happy.

There is no such thing: a 'non-toxic" toxic agent with which to kill fleas. However: why don't you try suffocating them instead?
I know there is some kind of hand-lotion that kills headlice on children by suffocating the lice. Since I can't remember what this lotion was (and the fact that it still may be toxic if ingested by the dog) why don't you coat puppy in Aloea Vera gel? Leave it on for at least a hour and DON'T let her lick it off. The fleas will try to hide in her ears, her nostrils, eyes, anus...so make certain all possible orificies are inaccessible to the fleas. If puppy keeps shaking or trying to lick it off, have a collar fashioned for her out of stiff cardboard and make certain it's on tight. She's such a small dog: wrap her in saran wrap while she's covered in aloe vera gel. I think that most of them will be killed off this way and boy, she will have VERY soft skin afterwards. Goodluck.

Keep a flea collar in your vacuum cleaner bag. Fleas do not die when swept up. The collar in the bag will kill them.
I wouldn't use the flea bombs. They do leave a residue on everything in the house.

i am not sure if this will work but it might be worth a try. give your dog a warm salt bath and sprinkle salt into your carpet and the dogs bed. years ago there was a company called flea busters they used a sodium enriched product that they would put into your carpet. they said it would dehydrate the fleas and they would die. the product worked but easier to use products became available so you don't see them around any more. but using that train of thought you could try a little epson salt in a warm bath and see if it has any effect on the fleas. good luck.

Get the common herb and spice......... garlic powder or garlic salt it cost 50 cents. It is great for them ........... they love it..........and it is a natural flea killer.......... Give it to our labs daily year round on their food.........never had a flea.......and no they dont stink.........they love it. Also if you have them in your home........ CEDAR OIL.......... outline the rooms in it at the base of the floors and it will actually boot out any insects and safe to the critters but will rid the house of the issue if it is a problem but start the garlic powder (in the herb and spice aisle at store) and bath her........ mix a bit of rubbiing alcohol on her then wash her with shampoo...... comb her good and you should be good to go.
GOOD LUCK.............Remember.......flea eggs can stay dormant in a couch for up to 2 years before hatching so maybe a good idea to get a bomb and make a day for you a your pup away from home and maybe get a bath out.

My vet told me to bathe my cats in baby shampoo. Also to make a thick 1/3 shampoo to 2/3 water in a spray bottle and mix well and spray every thing. Bedding, rugs, carpet, chairs, curtains, couches well i think you got the idea. It worked so good i told my neighbor and she did it too and worked for her. My vet said that what happens is that the fleas can't breath in it and die out.
