Why can't science and Christianity go hand-in-hand? Just because the Bible doesn't always make sense, does that mean that the whole thing, and it's ideas, can not be true? Why do atheists try so hard to rebel that they end up as ignorant as the Christians they criticized? Why can't all religions be considered pretty much the same having the same basic beliefs -- because they have different names? Why can't connections be made between common beliefs in the religions? Why can't the different names of religions represent slight differences in beliefs, or how one worships, instead of big ones?

Science and Christianity are very, very different at the moment. In the world of duality opposites seams to be difficult to be put together. The only way is to understand that we can comprehend the Whole only by making together the opposites. At the end you will find that there are no opposites at all as both sides have the very same core.
Not only (some!!!) scientist but also lot of deeply spiritually people do not believe in the Bible.
Science is trying to give proof to some claims. It is good in fact that in last years science have realized that some subatomic particles behave on behalf of the observer. This means that the matter and energy are in some or other way influenced by consciousness.
Some ideas to the some point should be true, you are probably right.
We all know, deep, deep inside that we really know nothing about creation. This is why it is said that more you know you more realize that you know nothing.
Most religions do have the same basics.
Answer on all your why lies in the nature of human beings - in duality. You see in this world you will always have opposites. Not only this. Creation is made in such a way that is all the time making balance between all opposites (also so called good and bad).
It is the nature of creation and the human being!

We will survive only when we realize what we have in common and stop waving our diiferences around like a flag. Science and spirtual belief can come together as long as we dont cling to a belief as if it was a life raft. What we ALL want is what most religions teach at heart and that is to be happy and free from suffering. We need to stop the "I'm right and you're wrong" mentality (Shayna). That thinking only creates wars and acheives nothing. We are going to get over the finish-line together or die not trying.

Maybe you do not realize it, but you have passed judgment on basically every human being. You have condemned Christians and called them ignorant. Next nonchristians. You have called the Bible, God and all those who wrote it and believe it liars...saying it does not make sense and is not all true.
I hope that you realize that you are trying to play God instead of following God. There is always two forces at work. Either you are for Christ and call yourself a Christian or you are against christ, antichrist. It is very simple. Read the Bible. It is black and white. It is true. It is real.
In time you will see the truth.

Science is a part of religion, the two have not been joined yet by man because he does not understand. Did not God create everything, hence all the laws of Science, both known and undiscovered?
As long as someones religion teaches to love, respect and forgive one another, people should not spend their strength and effort in changing the title of others beliefs, but rather, these people should be more concerned in their own evolution.

Some religions directly contradict others, so people following either one of these religions feel the need to try to disprove the other. I think it's human nature to try and disprove something that we think is wrong.

Because the tendency of man is tribal, and he wants to differentiate his group from the "others". It takes a seriously open-minded approach to realise the underlying truths without saying "Mine's better than yours".

I think it's the ignorance that makes us look at the smaller picture and ignore the bigger one.we are so determined to differentiate we forget at the end we are all the same. we are all looking for the same "heaven" even though we may choose to take different paths.

the ameliorations is what remember. in the starting up, i'm no longer following a faith that is going antagonistic to the bible and joins wars to promote murders, that get's in touch with authorities activities which the bible says to stay faraway from wordly issues alongside with voting in church homes, celebrating pretend holidays etc. wearing crosses that are synthetic, idolizing issues alongside with angels, crosses, snap shots of Jesus. those styles of acts GOD/Bible says no longer to achieve this why would I do it? (if i became into religon like that)

God differentiated the man with color of skin, hair and eyes. Just like in science man always tries to be better than god.
