The US do not treat all EC citizens the same way. Some need a visa to travel to the US. Should we change our laws so that the US citizens require a visa to come to the EC countries.

The two Unions have made agreements which passports to accept and their citizens to enter the other Union states without visa. When all countries follow the required way of passport issuance their citizens will not require visas!

It the agreement between US and EC countries if they have agreed to it than there is nothing we can do. Besides come EC are allowed to come to US without visa so looks fair to me.
The biggest reason begin for the visa is that US citizens do not want to go and stay in an EC country US is better than anywhere else they just travel. But there are EC that people come here and over stay find ways to stay here etc.

The US only requires visas from nationals of those countries who were on the other side of the iron curtain back in those days.

And sure, ask US citizens to get a visa before going to Europe. Some might just consider spending their money elsewhere....

Well if you had half a clue...not a full one..only half you would know that technically we do need a visa and of course a valid passport. Many of the European countries are part of the Visa Waiver pack countries...you still obtain a I-94 and are subject to the same scrutiny's and period of admission as anyone else.

No. Americans are the rulers of the world. They should be able to travel wherever they want whenever they want. The EU governments are just American puppets. All EU citizens are subjects of the kingdom.

if you have strict rules about letting anyone else into your country, then you have to expect the same in return ... the real issue is that in the EU you can just turn up and work in another country ... which is basically why if someone from another country where it is cheap to live can come over to western europe and undercut local labour.

He should visit first before getting citizenship. But there's really no point in him getting Iranian citizenship if he can't speak Persian and if he really has nothing to do with Iran.
