Armageddon is like the lottery: you just know you're going to win it, but you don't know when, so you keep spending your money, then you die.
This belief has been awaited and forecast for 2000 years, it's always just around the corner, but it never comes. It's probably better for you to spend your time thinking about other things, like the next exam you're going to flunk if you don't study, or what you're going to do over the weekend.

Do you happen to know what Armageddon is? At Rev. 16:14-16 it describes what Armageddon is. It is God's war. It is when God will destroy all the wicked people on earth, those that are opposed to him and the governmental kingdoms on earth. It is not said in the bible exactly when that date is, however, we are not left to guess at what will take place before Armageddon arrives. We are given specific warnings and signs. To especially bring Armaggedon to the fore, the political system will turn on the religious system, which is not very far off. So much wars are caused by religion, so pretty soon, the political system will turn on religion altogether. At 2 Timothy 3:1-5 describes the "last days", and Jesus said what to look for when the "last days" arrive. (Matthew 24: 3-31). The bible also states that Jesus does not know when the end will come, only his father does, but as a thief in the night it will come. You're cordially invited to the "Deliverance At Hand" convention going on now. It will talk about when the end is coming. Also, when the bible speaks of the "end" it is referring to the wicked system of things (wicked people) being destroyed, not the literal earth, since God made the earth for people to inhabit it.

I am sure that every date in history has been decided as the date of the apocalpyse at some point or another. 1666 was a popular date - with the fire of london and the plague. 2000 was another as was 1000. 666 was bound to be popular. 2006 is the most recent year. 2007 is next one. In fact every year since 1998 has been proclaimed by someone as apolcalyptic. And it doesn't end till 2012. In fact 2012 is a popular one, and the most popular for some time. The next one after that is 2018. But do not worry. According to the bible it will happen over a period of many years, and you will start to see angels and beasts with 10 heads and horns with crowns before the actual end of days. I think there will be plenty of warning.

Actually God had given the period of 7000 years to Satan and humankind to try all kinds of rulling systems. Now we are on the year 6032 scince from the Adam's creation in 4026 B.C.E.As one day = 1000 years to Jehova,at the end of 7000th year Jehova will be getting in to his 1000 years Sabbath day. This is the sabbath that Paul said to the hebrews we should all work hard in oder to get into it.This is the Sabbath that Jesus Christ will be rulling on with his 144000 kings and priests. This is the Sabbath that on which Devil Satan will be bounded for 1000 years.
But listen to what Jesus Christ had said "In fact, unless those days were cut short, no flesh would be saved; but on account of the chosen ones those days will be cut short".Matthew 24:22.
I conclude by saying there is only one prophecy that is left which is: the political system will turn on the religious system, which is not very far off. After that each and everyday should be expeted to be the Armageddon!

Yes, if you add the 2000 since Christ plus the years of His life which is 31 or 32 that would be 2031 or 2032. That's 2000 years after His life and death. The signs of the times in the holy land and in Iraq,Iran, Syria, and Egypt are also significant. The Bible says the Messiah will return to rescue His people, the Jews when they are surrounded by their enemies and their is no hope for them and when they recognize Him as their Messiah.
This is not exact because the Bible says, we "will not know the day nor the hour." We can only know the season. And we are surely in the season.

Actually, Armageddon refers to and Ancient Hebrew reference to a place named "Megeddio" (spelling may be incorrect) and it was a prediction of a coming battle there. That battle already came and went and has been misquoted since. Scholars, please feel free to correct me on this as I am not sure of the exact dates and times, and I may be wrong about the source, but not the actual content. The people of this region were very worried about this battle, but it came and went and the world is still here.

well, there have been scientific discoveries stating that we're pretty doomed in no less than about 5,000 years.. because the sun will implode.. that's got us pretty doomed... i wouldn't worry about it in our life time though.. you might as well ask when you are going to die.. who says you'll even make it to armageddon? You could be hit by a car tomorrow? And, we'll likely have just as close of an answer to that question.

If ya think of it in Goddly terms....I don't really think God with give man the power to truely know that.....that would be to much information for man...and we would only try to manipulate it for our own purpose anyway....If in a evolutionary or scientific term....this world will hold on longer than some think...the "dooms day" approach was used in the 50's 80's 2000 etc etc... and will be used every so many years to beef up the headlines and scare the **** outta ppl..............i think anyway...:P
