Although you are only young, you have nothing to be ashamed of. Be proud of your daughter and show her off to the world. Teachers will be able to help you continue your schoolwork and be a good mother. It will be hard but with determination I'm sure you can do it! Good luck! By they way, your daughter and I share the same birthday, but I was born in 1972.

I was 17 when I had my first child, I know how hard it can be... (I on the other hand got bigger than a freakin' barn - so there was no hiding it)....
You let that be your choice. If you feel comfortable letting people know - then shout it from the roof top - If your school is anything like mine was - the rumors will be flying anyway. Why don't you have them put something in the school bulletin welcoming your baby girl into the world. That will save face and you won't have to actually figure out who you've told and who you haven't.

Wow, thats great! My Mom's birthday is the 17th, but back to your problem, I think that you should tell them because if the father of your baby goes to school with you then he might say something about it and if someone were to come over to your house how would you explain it? On the how part. I would just tell one person who talks to much for their own good, it will get around. Good luck with the parenting!!!

Wow.You didn't show that much.I did like a basketball.But
yeah you should tell them.there is no point in hiding it from anyone.Be proud no matter what your age is.Girl you are
very smart and are talented to be able to have a baby and go
to school. So whoever you tell they should only have good things to say.And everyone will want to see your little girl. And she
will bring joy to your life because you will feel proud to let
everyone know that you have something very special.

If you have kept the baby then i think you should tell them as it will make them more understanding of your situation, they may offer to help or just to be there to talk when you need somebody. I would tell your friends, but its up to you if you tell other people.
Good luck with the new baby its such a blessing!

I think they might notice a differene in you. ie: you'll be tired more often, you won't have any free time...they'll start asking questions and you don't want to start a big lie and have to keep up with it all year. Just come out with the truth. It'll be so much easier than coming up with lame excuses.

I would suggest only telling your closest friends since some people may turn against you or say things about you, but congratulations! And good luck. How old are you anyway?

Yes, you should. Go to your counselor. They will have the support you need when other students begin to find out. Also, they can help you out with services if you need them.

people will find out on their own, and you should let them. you didn't tell them for 9 months because it wasn't there business, has anything changed to make it theirs? your family and the fathers and the best ones to be notified...you are in school to learn-go big and be successful to support your lil one...
