In general, I want something that is not too expensive (<$80) but works. It doesn't have to charge the device but if it does thats great.

Here are some specifics:
I need to power an iPod (I have the grounded wall charger)
I need to power a Compaq V5105US laptop
I am traveling on US Airways and America West
I am in first class

Do these adapters even exist?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Check with your airlines to confirm that they have power ports on the seat

OK, I did: Select US Airways' Airbus A319, A320, A321 and A330 aircraft are equipped with in-seat laptop power ports.

Adapters can be found at electronics stores.

Here's some laptop adapters:

Usually I don't fly first class - so maybe there are diffeent resources I don't know of. But as far as I am aware, there are no plugs of any kind to power anything when you are a commercial aircraft passenger.
