Right now, at this stage of your life, you really can't know the how much most grandparents love their grandchildren. But, just think, they raised and loved your parents. They were probably crazy with delight when you were born. They knew you and loved you before you knew yourself.

So, ask them questions about their youth, let them share their memories, who knows, they might say something interesting. And, even if they don't, you'll deserve a pat on the back.

They won't be around that long, you know. The fact that you care enough to ask this question says good things about you.

spend as much time as you can with them, they will be gone before you know it. Listen to their stories from long ago, you can learn so much if you listen. Grandparents love to show off the grand kids so go places with them. Learn what they like to do and try to do these things with them. Every ones different but some grandparents like the same things you might, movies, going out to eat, shopping. others may want to go fishing,or just sit on The front porch and talk. Ask them what they like, no matter what you do the important thing is your spending time with them. God bless!

You can learn so much from the older generation, sure they look frail, talk a little slower, but usually they are still sharp as a tac.

Learn a bit about your family history

Play cards, my grandfather taught me to be a bit of a cardshark

Go shopping

Go to dinner

Talk to your grandmother about boyfriends, ask her about what her life was like before she got married.

Talk to her about what it's like to be young now in comparison to way back then.

And if you find them boring, don't give up at all, cause one day it will be to late and all the good idea's you've had will be wasted.

I am a grandparent and here are some of the things I have done with my granddaughter: talk about anything and everything, answered questions without judging, gone on walks, picnics, to live theater, to movies, read to each other, gone to yard sales, done cooking, to museums, art galleries etc. If your grandparent is unable to get around well, just talking and learning from them is fine. They just want to be included in your life and know that you love them.

The best way to spend quality time with your grandparents is to be a good listener and to ask them lots of questions about their lives. Once they are gone you won't believe all the questions that you'll wish you had asked.

All my grandparents passed away. When they were alive most of the time we spent together was at meals. I would go out to eat or cook for them. I would also do some shopping or errands needed for them and I think it was appreciated. What about a movie together? Ask them if there is something they would like to do or see. You can suffer through something you don't really like, think how much it will make them happy :)

watch old movies. Play checkers. But what is best. get out a recorder and ask them to tell stories about their lives.
Thninngs over the generations change. it would be a part of history for you to copy or write done thie family history. Ask about their parents, their great gradnparents and so on.
you will enoy this and it will be good to pass thing down to other generations

I've only have one set of grandparents left, I try to spend some quality time with them, because you just don't know when there time is going to come.

I like to talk with my grandparents, my grandma and I go to sales in the neighboring areas, play card games. I f you have kids of your own let them spend time with them, I have a seven year old boy, he loves to spend time with his great grandparent.

I am a grandmother and when my grandchildren come over we play together, watch movies, or sometimes go to fast food restaurants. What ever time you spend with them is going to be considered quality time though. Grandchildren are the lights that shine in our eyes, and any time that you have for us is greatly appreciated. Make the most of your time no matter what you do....

well, mine are all dead...so any quality time involves me digging up their graves and walking around with skeletons!

But when I was younger, the only thing I really remember as being QUALITY was spending the 4th of July together and cuddling with my Grandpa watching the fireworks.

I think it's good to find out what they like to do and do it with them...maybe gardening, playing cards, or going shopping with them?
