Look at that! They shouldn't be allowed to read our scripture; then they'll just criticize it! And of course, they're taking everything out of context. Just because a bible verse says that God touched Jacob's sin stick does not actually mean that God did such a thing. They just have to go and misinterpret all of the truths in the bible, don't they? When we're all getting raped by God in heaven, we'll see who gets the last laugh!

To tonalc1: What sarcasm? What are you talking about? After all, just because the bible is the ultimate truth doesn't mean that the negative verses are true. Damn those atheists for trying to show that there is wrong in the bible! They'll burn in hell at the hands of a peaceful God for that one.

To Abdulhaq: Exactly! We'll have the last laugh! I know that I'll be laughin hysterically when our kind, peaceful and all-loving God is frying people for the evil sin of unbelief in the fiery jet fuels of hell!

Even though they are criticizing the word of Christ, we have to remember that God loves everyone. We shouldn't HATE anyone. Christianity is all about toleration and loving each other. So even though people have different world views, we should still stay open and listen to what they say. We don't have to believe in anything that comes out of their mouth, but we can still give them a chance to tell us what they think. Accepting each other makes such a great impact on non-Christians. That's what sets us apart from many of the other religions and beliefs.,Toleration and love. Don't forget many great men and women were atheists! For example, Thomas Jefferson!

ummm...well! you need to pump your breaks! Christians are often threatened by others reading their bible because of the very fact that there are many mistakes and contradictions in it. This makes them question their whole religion and concept of God. God is by definition suppose to be all knowing and all powerful. After all if there are mistakes in the bible then how can God have written it. And if God didn't write it then why are we basing our whole life on it? Reversely if God did write the bible and it does have mistakes in it, then how can God be all knowing and all powerful? If he isn't these things then what is god really and does he even exist?
Lady you need to read some philosophy!
And you need to read your bible bc "judge not lest ye be judged" "Love thy neighbor" blah blah blah. And isn't it EVERY christian's job to witness to the masses and spread the word to the unsaved. What better way is there to do these things than by convincing the curious atheist to read the stupid thing! If there is a God and he wanted his teaching s to be secret he would have left it unwritten and only accesable through a secret handshake!

And hey if you are so insecure in your religion that you can't handle a bit of scrutiny then maybe you are only taking your lack of faith out on those poor wicked atheists!!! Get a clue and find a new religion.

Well who is to say who has the correct interpretation. that is why it is called an interpretation, no one knows the true facts. It is just one groups way of thinking about something. I know that i wasn't there when the stuff in the bible happened so i can't tell you what the right way to think about it is. And it isn't just your scripture. How many different Christian religions are there? Tons! so if they all can have their own way of viewing the bible than atheists should be able to as well.

I dont think you should put such a question on here. No one puts you down for your beliefs, so why would you do that? I think there would be less fighting and bickering going on if everyone minded their own business.
Them reading the bible isnt such a bad thing. Everyone wants everyone else to change, but you dont want them to read the bible? How do you expect them to know/ I think you should delete this question before an atheist sees it and really get things stirred up.
Its not right to put down others beliefs. Let them believe what they want to. Its their life. What has their life style done to you?

atheists may read scripture to try to learn what you religious types "get" from the "good book". How can one argue without knowing facts of both sides ? Actually, I believe atheists don't read your precious book because they already had it shoved down their throat as kids and they are wise to its errors. They are intelligent enough to go through Life without a rule book because they don't view Life as a game. Sound like you want to get to this place called Heaven so God can rape you ? How special for you.

Hate is against God. The purpose of God's Word is to act as a schoolmaster, bringing all to the knowledge of the truth. It is that word that converted YOU, I am sure. You should be more concerned with loving your neighbor as yourself. That would be one of the commandments, wouldn't it? Jesus said, when asked what is the greatest of the commandments, "Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength. The second is like unto it: Love your neighbor as yourself. For LOVE (not hate) is the fulfillment of the law."
You better check yourself.

dude, you will burn in hell before those guys.I'm a christian but i don't hate atheists.i don't have a reason to hate people i don't know. so what if they make fun of bible,it's their thing.everyone has right to have an opinion. don't be such an idiot. you just did a big sin. they don't believe in God so they can say to God what ever they want, but we who do believe in god can't. hate is a sin, especially to Christians because they know it's a sin. you sin even you know it's wrong. but atheists don't care, god don't represent nothing to them. so is it bigger sin to hate even you know is wrong or hate thinking it's nothing bad?

some of you are on here saying you hate this or that and don't believe in God on one hand adn just that quick you are telling people how they should feel . That is so disturbing to me. You should not hate anyone. half the people you hate don't know and the other half don't care. the only person it is hurting is you. Just love them or at least ignore them to the best you can and pray for them.

Well, I was brought up and taught not to hate any one.

Let them read our books, let them attack us and our religion, but I am ready to make a bit, that some of them will come to know the truth and accept the religion. Those, even if they were few, are too much important for us to be saved.
We have nothing to be afraid of, let them read , let them argue, let them attack, some of them will be the winners we are looking for, and the losers, ..you know where will they be at the end and who will have the last laugh.

God Hates sin but Loves the sinner, and if you are to be in heaven then you must too. For God SO LOVED the world [even atheist] that He gave His only son that whosoever [even YOU] might not perrish but have everlasting live.
