If your in Australia you have the dilema of finding a sperm donor. They have some people that donate but only patients who are terminally ill have first pick. As there isnt many donors that leaves little for everyone else.
I was told a few years back young uni students (doctors) use to donate all the time but many years down the track the child did a search and wanted to know who their biological father is and turned up on their doorstep claiming to be their long lost child causing turmoil for his family and expecting financial assistance. (as doctors make alot more money) Hence the decline of sperm donations.
They prefer you to have a partner before they help you to conceive with Invitro Fertilisation. If your partners sperm is useless, find a sperm donor yourself (less cost involved) and have them tested for diseases and also their sperm count tested. If they pass all that, your partly on your way. Doing this makes the process quicker.
