Good question
Some of those atheists use this kind of attack because deep inside them they are looking for the truth, and need help to go to the right path, for one reason or another, they do not come out clearly to ask about it and they tend to attack .
some of them, they do attack out of total ignorance, as they have closed their brain and eye on any truth, and would not accept intelligent cool discussion.

I don't know many true atheists, most people are agnostic they will believe when they see it. The human race has the audacity to think that life revolves around them! why is it that they can not get through life without having the crutch of some sort of god to make everything worth living for. Its the old good and evil thing you get brought up with, this stops anarchy within the world. But all the different religions are to blame for all the atrocities that have ever happened in the world. why do all the religions of the world think they are right? and then try to convert people? There are good people throughout this world and some awful ones, a lot of the awful ones commit atrocities in the name of one god or another. Atheists don't believe in anything and I can't recall any atrocities being started by someone with no beliefs

Ok a bit of a ramble so I will separate the points:
1. You just have to look at the posts of religious people on this site to see that the majority are very critical of people who do not believe the same doctrine they do. Your question is actually very critical of non-believers and defeats your opening statement. Criticism can range between abuse and intellectual challenge - you need to separate intolerance and being willing to debate the issue;
2. "When actually atheist … is justified too?" I assume that this jumble should be considered together: Over the centuries religion (actually most religions) have been responsible for massive atrocities and amazingly barbaric and intolerant acts (including wars) in the name of their god ... "is this justified too?" to use your own phrase.
I am not sure what connection you are trying to make between communism and atheism – they are very different things.
3. "By the way... faith": I agree totally. Faith is a belief (or even loyalty) in something it just doesn't have to be in your (or anyone else’s Deity).
4. "Its harder ... does": this is the sort of nonsensical claptrap that gives thinking religious people a bad name. Re-read it and see what a nonsense it really is. I do not consider myself an atheist or whatever label you want to put on it ... religion is an irrelevance to me - it doesn't get any 'easier' than that.
I am quite happy to respect the rights of someone to have an opinion but I do not have to respect their actual opinion ... I would hope I can have the same courtesy returned.
If you want to actually engage in a debate then you should have stopped after the first line. What you did was go from a genuine question to an intolerant statement that was supposed to make your question rhetorical.
Yes there are very intolerant people out there (on both sides of the debate) who think that abuse is a way of getting their point or frustrations across. In my view a poorly delivered proposition just devalues any point being made.
Peace out

Why do some religious groups believe everyone who doesn't follow everything their way of thinking is wrong? Why do they bother others who simply don't agree with their philosophy and just admit to themselves that they don't have all the answers either? Can't we all just accept each other for what we believe in and open our minds to knowledge and understanding of each others beliefs without stating that it is an absolute fact? I accept the fact that I don't know if there is a God or not, but some religious people seem to have a problem with me saying that. I merely am stating the truth from my perspective as a human being. In fact, if anyone can prove to me that they know all the secrets to the universe and can show me without a shadow of a doubt the existence of a higher being that has control over space and time and all the matter in the universe, then you have my full undivided attention. Otherwise, leave me in peace... There! How's that for the "other side-of-the-coin" perspective for ya??? ;)

I'm an atheist and I don't think that I can criticise people who have faith in God (please note capital letter, just because I don't believe doesn't mean I have no respect)..... I don't like to have religion rammed down my throat, I don't talk about religion unless the topic is brought up by another person at which point I have no compunction not to express my views. So a better question is why is it that people who have faith in God seem to want to constantly discuss it with and convert atheists?

Logic and reason show us that there is no evidence for the existence of any god or gods thorough-out history. It takes a huge leap of faith to think that the universe was created by a supernatural deity and that we were put here on earth as a creation of this being for his great plan. As an educated, rational person, it is obvious to me that this is a myth based on a primitive dogmatic religion based on 2000+ years old thinking. Humans want to make sense of their universe and religion is a great way to order your universe without having to use critical thinking skills and facing the fact that this is the only life we will ever have so we better make the best of it. That puts the responsibility on us so we can't cop out and say there is a heaven to go to after we die. Faith is the great cop-out and escape for the coward who can't face reality and take responsibility for his/her life in the here and now.

As an atheist I find I am criticised far more for my opinions than any Christian I know.
Also, as an atheist I do not find any killing justifiable, particularly when it is for gain or out of prejudicism.
The history of christians is covered in blood and genocide, especially when trying to force their views on various cultures throughout history.
I agree that you can have faith without having faith in a god, but no way is it easier to disbelieve in god than it is to belive .

Yes it is harder to believe that he does not exist, but we should be tolerant enough to accept that people do have different opinion, live in a different circumstances, .... We shoul also be very careful in defining who or what god is. There should be the power behind all this but we could easily be trapped in some kind of advanced mind machine also. So we really do not know.
Not all atheists kill people so it is not fair to make such comparison. Please check out history and you will find that lot of people have been killed in the name of god, religion, etc... also. So it is basically in the nature of the man to kill each other instead to unit and help each other.
Believe me, nobody who really knows and is free to act will kill anybody, nobody!

The same reason religious people critisize atheists. Difference of beliefs. And actually, all religions or non religions kill at one point or time, but Christianity has started more wars and killed more people than any atheist (American Indians, Chinese, etc) combined. And Atheists TODAY do believe in something, THEMSELVES. That is why they cannot join forces to fight for any cause they believe in. They call it non-conformity even with their own kind.
But I am not an Atheist, or a practicing Christian. I am more Semi-Quasi-Agnostic with various Buddhist views. I bet you would like to kill me?

Why exactly is it harder to believe God doesn't exist, than does?
That statement makes no sense. One would think it's MUCH easier to disbelieve something that can't be proven.. than to believe in it.
And if you want to talk about killings.. and know your history.. then you already know that the majority of wars were started over religious beliefs.. and throughout history (witch hunts, crusades) it's religious fanatics that have killed far more than people that say they don't belive in God.
Even the terrorists themselves supposedly have faith.. it's just misguided.

Communisim is partly a relgion if involving worship of a state or figure (ie Hitler).
True athiests worship nothing and nobody.
Actually its not hard not to believe in god, gods, santa claus, the tooth fairy, puf the magic dragon, leprechauns, etc as no difference.
But if you take out the belief in a god you anaylse whats left and its only the wicken/witch/pagan/newagers that turely have decency and ethics as mainly they are not based on one sex but both intermixed with nature.
They are not a suck up and obey system.
But based around being part of nature and full of pyschology, drugs, medicines and psychosexual psychology all that has been seen to pretty much work even if in a placebo effect. But they don't have faith in rediculous things like a spell to fix up a bullet wound.
But the true ethical system comes in what they don't have and thats no one male figure like in systems like judasism, christianity and islam which all came from a similar spot based around take the same system to different extremes...
Pretty much a whole ethical system of male dominance around females and feminine and fear and guilt and shame from what comes natural.
Wickenisim etc has no problems with females, homosexuals or sexisim, or a fear of sex.
Wickenisim sees sex as a good thing and beauty and love not simply for the purpose of reproducing but for pleasure and happiness and affection.
The male ones see females as nothing but something to use and control to produce kids... its all about bullying and male dominance and female and all theings feminie ie gays being submissive. Its all about depowering females.
Sex is the way females influence males. This empowers so the macho relgions do everything including brain washing the females that sex is therefore bad just like the witch burning was the strong dominating the smart as seeing it as competition. Hence the macho ones being against contraception and sex ed etc or porn (the means by which females get males to empty their pockets and do what they want ) hence the story of the dancer and John the baptist.
This makes the christian churches little different to female trafficers and sex slavours as thats what marriage was origonally about. Legalising that.
Lets look at Sadam Hussiane an so called socialist... yes he killed people but now look at the place... Seems he was protecting people especailly females from the evil relgious lot showing their true colours now.
In iraq this dictator saw to it that women coukld hang out with guys, wear what they like and go to uni... now look how these relagions are turnning that back to biblical times where the bully guys could control.
The sexaully repressed from the wrost peadophiles and rapists and psychopaths... thats what absteinance and calling sex leads to.
Look at the history of islam and the church. Nothing but inquistions buring stoning and family honour.
We look at all the pain you cause saying you are so morally good.
unlike you we have no rosey tinted glasses.
Likewise say Castro those he killed were murderers and oppressors of his people and basically mafia types.
What did gays and sexual young women ever do ? and the witches ... they healed the sick whilst the nutty islamics sadma put down go round murdering girls for having mates who are guys...
