Just as an odd side note, the Disney movie "The Lion King" was originally called "The King of the Jungle" until it was noticed that Lions do not live in the jungle. They live on the plains.

"King of the Jungle" is a misnomer, like declaring the prairie dog to be the King of the Ocean.

I would, however, also say the Great White Shark.

Poseidon, who is the estranged brother of Zeus and Hades. I think he is half octopus and half human form. I dont really know. The great white shark or the sperm whale maybe at it, or the 60 feet long evil squid some adventurers claim to have seen. Im more scared of jellyfish though and some of their malicious brothers.

i'll change my vote to King Neptune. for the Greeks it was Poseidon.... god of sea. SeaLion is to playful & sly. but Neptune.

he's got big hair like a Lion's mane, he's quite ferocious & has a loud battle cry just like a Lion.

Blue whales aren't aggressive & predatory. sharks are predatory & ferocious but their kindda on their own. they don't rule over the smaller creatures. they just eat them.
