i would definitely wait until the next litter is weaned... if only for the fact that the kittens will need their momma to be in good shape, not recovering from being fixed. if momma isn't feeling well she might not take proper care of her little ones. i'll assume you're going to see that the unwanted kittens find homes (through the apl, etc.)... enjoy them until then...

Obviously, talk to the vet. I would suspect you should wait until the kittens are weaned. Then keep her in the house until you have the opportunity to get her fixed. I believe in keeping cats in the house anyway. They have a tedency to get run over if they are outside cats. I see more cat carcasses in the road than dogs. They're great animals but they don't understand cars the way dogs do(why I don't know).

you should know that lectures are always given when someone does something stupid like letting her out right after her 1st litter or keeping her in the house with un-neutered males!
Wait at least 8-10 weeks or if she's not too far along abort the kittens.

Well, I wouldn't want to nurse a litter after having my stomach cut open. Seriously, she can't be fixed until they're weaned.

Not sure but I think if she gets pregnant again you can abort the fetuses and get her fixed

I think your best bet is to talk to your veterinarian. They can give you the best answer and most give it free.Just make sure you explain the situation so that they understand what your concerns are.
