guys i am entering int0 wedlock soon. my question is whether lights should be switched off in first night

depends on whether you are comfortable. No hard and fast. Nature will takes its course.

Doesn't really matter whether the lights are on or off - it's up to both of your preference. A nice middle ground might be lighting some candles - it's romantic and dim - but not too bright or too dark.

It is mostly up to her. I would light a candle or two and pause by the light switch. If she dosen't say leave them on, turn them out. It can be romantic to kiss in the candle light and if that is too much light, blowing them out can be roamntic as well.

Most of them are not comfortable with lights on during their first night, However if you feel that both of you are your natural self and are comfortable then you can keep the lights on.

Your Q implies u will like to keep it on. Dim lights (bed side lamp perhaps) would be fine.

i personally found it very romantic when my fiance spent the whole day finding candles and putting them in our bedroom. he kept me locked out until later that night. when i went in there were like a hundred candles. it gave the room just a hint of light (so we could see to get around the room). he also played some slow, soft music. just make it special for her.

Yes you need to turn it off. Here is the reason: you'll be spending the rest of your life with your wife (hopefully), seeing her everyday, having sex with the same face all the times (hopefully). Turn it off, so you won't get bored too soon! (this may also be true for your wife).
