She's made it obvious several times that it's over. Another female cares for him deeply and does right by him but he can't sem to let this ex go. HELP!!!!!!!!

The only time I would be reluctant to let an ex go is if she was an ex- wife who had custody of my kids and no explanation of why she was leaving! Other than that, I wouldn't try to hold on to someone who didn't want to be with me. A guy who has no dignity or sense of self, would try to stay in a dead relationship. Some are afraid to start a new relationship, and some feel they can fix a broken one. It is harder for the guy if he was the one who caused the relationship to "sour", and wants to make it right again, but has no cooperation from the ex. Also, the time one invests in making and staying in a relationship that has been going for a while is difficult to have ripped away from you. It is like a piece of your body being removed non surgically! As strange as it may seem, some guys like women that don't treat them too good, over someone who treats him right and gives him everything. He may feel it is better to work for love or whatever it is he needs, than to have it handed to him so easily!

Maybe you guys started seeing each other too soon before he got closure with his ex. No need to worry love is hard to come by and if you're giving it to him this is helping with getting over his ex just a Lil more time OK.

Same reason women do the same. It is leaving what is familiar and traveling into the unknown. Most people do not like to leave a comfort zone once it has been established. Sounds more like he went into a relationship took quickly and did not give himself time to heal to get past his ex.

simple..men cant let go of their exes becoz they already found what they are looking for in a person and it would be too much if they will try to find it in another soul and it would be more taxing on the men's part to start all over again.usually girls are so easy to say that its all right to start all over again but mind you, guys also tend to invest in a relationship with their feelings so you just cant let them say go on and move on....

he cant let go of his ex because they shared so much, maybe she had a baby form him and she lost it, that there is a major connection. maybe they were each others first love. if he cant seem to seperate himself from her then you are just in the way. you are in his way of getting back with her. you need to move on because hewill not change and get her out of his head, yo uwill always be the other woman, the best thing you can do is let him go and be with her and fcus on finding your true love.good luck.

Fear of letting go of a past they may not want to let go of, or to keep something on the side, just in case.
Who knows, but it needs to stop. If this is causing a problem in the relationship, it needs to stop. BUT, the other side of the story could be...are you sure you aren't making a bigger deal about his friendship then it is?
