Yes, because you are sinning against God by failing to consider Him first in your actions (violating the 1st commandment, "You shall have no other gods before Me."), making a "god" to suit yourself (idolatry, a violation of the 2nd commandment, "You shall not make any idols."), dishonoring you parents name (regardless if they care, the 5th commandment says, "Honor you father and mother.").

If money, sex, or the "fame" of being a stripper is more precious to you than Him, you are denying Him by your lust for sin.

If it was your daughter, would you care if she became a stripper? (Keep in mind, the drugs, lusting men, the prostitution, and corrupt "businessmen" she'd be interacting with on a daily basis) Do you really "want" to be a "stripper" with all of its consequences? Men will disrespect you by lusting for your body, without any concern for you. "Businessmen" will pretent to "care" for you, but only as a front for using you and your body for their own gain. You will be exposed to a dark world of exotic drugs, deception, temptatiion, and evil on a regular basis. Are you ready for all of this? You are a woman. Please don't flush all the goodness God has put into you.

Yes,it's wrong and not just in Christians point of view. There is others ways to make a living. Get a education provided by School loans or grants. Strippers put themselves in harms way. It's hard for a stripper to look or act like a lady or even being a moral citizen's wife. All men will see is nothing but ur body not ur mind which they can't respect because of this occupation.

I have actually taken your question seriously. I have also looked at these silly answers. Most so-called Christians really don't know or read the bible but are quick to judge and advise. The word of God is to be the believer's only rule of faith and practice. What I'm saying is if you can't prove it scripturally, shut-up!
I want you to consider these 2 verses:

1 Thessalonians 5:22
Abstain from all appearance of evil.

Philippians 4:8
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

I know you're only 22 and have almost no experience with anything, especially making mature and responsible decisions. But, can you honestly say you'd feel comfortable stripping in front of your grandmother, mother, and your 10 yr. old son (I know you don't have a son, humor me).
Even though stripping pays well, you know it's not right. Come on!

So exactly why is he still your fiance? You've described enough compatibility issues that I wonder you ever dated. I've not yet seen a "Christian Strip-joint" or "Christian Porn" which should give some clue to anyone taking Christianity seriously that the one doesn't fit with the other. That seems clear even though I'm not a Christian. If the point of the stripclub is aesthetics, not lust, he can go to art galleries instead. If it's male bonding he can play golf or soccer! But if he needs porn, strippers and marijuana... ...I don't see why you need him.

I think the so called christians should be more like the Jesus. Ask yourself what will Jesus do? Stop judging people

Getting paid for dancing is not and was never a sin according to the christians bible.

have you ever saw a commandment or law by god saying: " You shall not shake whats you mama gave ya for money"? lol

A strip club is not for everyone, to many people desire you, want to have you, but if you can handle the attention, there is nothing wrong with that.

my dear please don't allow yourself to be degraded as a sexual object. i use to think it was a neat idea because i've always been very comfortable with my body and i love the attention and the idea of being thought of as beautiful but as a construction worker i get to see these guys in action. they are not the kind suitable for marriage to put it nicely. they have no respect toward a woman and what she can do. your young please don't repeat some of my mistakes by hanging out with the wrong crowd. you wanna get attention and make money and not degrade yourself and shock your parents go be a construction worker. no not all construction workers are bad but a lot are into sleeping with as many girls as they can and not one of them has a clue about the Human Papalomious Virus (not sure if i spelled it right but for short its HPV) which can cause cervical cancer and doctors don't check for it as theirs millions of different strains unless you demand it. yes proabably the most commonly spread STD that millions are unaware of. becareful my dear theirs a millon other reasons why not to be a stripper other than the need to feel beautiful and wanted as every woman wants to feel. your not alone my dear but whatever you do don't fall into temptation by the lustful calls of men. a little secret men really do love it when a woman is really hard to get as only losers want a loose woman and i heard this from men themselves. anyone tells you otherwise their lying. as for scriptural advice see Ephesians 5:3-4, 1 Thessalonians 4:3-5, 1 Corinthians 6:18-20, but espeacially see Colossians 3:5 if you have any questions my dear you can email me at kiwikate82@yahoo.com for a phone number to chat if you wish or for further explaination
best wishes

Because we are supposed to keep our bodies sacred for our husbands, not go around showing them off to a bunch of drooling men who could care less who you were.

1 Corinthians 6:8
Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.

Hebrews 13:4
Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral.

The Bible says that your body is God's Holy temple. Do you think a Rabbi would give you a tour of a synagogues most holy sections? Then why should you give perfect strangers a tour of yours? Also, Stripping can cause others to sin(lust, commit adultery and fornicate). Even if you don't commit the sin yourself, the Bible says that if you cause another to sin it is better for you to " be thrown into the sea with a large millstone tied around his neck" and I think we've all been told what the bible says about suicide.

I think if you were a true christian then you would already know the answer to that question. If you have a close relationship with the Lord then you would let him lead you. No one can judge you for what you do with your life except the Lord. The Lord gave you a free will do with as you please. Obedience is one of the keys to being a good christian. Mary Magdaline was a prostitute remember? Jesus brought her OUT of that life. If it wasn't wrong then why did he deliver her from it?

I think that you need to make decisions that you can live with and not worry so much about the judgement of others. I used to dance and for me it wasn't a career choice but a way to make ends meet. I think you need to examine how you feel about it and your personal feelings and reasons for making that decision. For me, I know in my heart that I am a good person and I'm sure there are "christians" that would line up around the block to tell me how much I need to repent. At the end of the day I need to be right with myself and my personal relationship with my own understanding of my higher power. I hope this helps. Just be true to yourself and you will be OK.

Depends how old you are...if you are over 18 and under 23 then it is fine...if you are under 18 or over 23 the you are either too young or too old, respectively. Mary was a prostitute in the Bible...Jesus was fine with that...but being in that business is tough...you meet alot of people that might not be helpful to you in the long run...nobody is impervious to bad influence...best of luck...and don't worry about the Christians...they'll forgive you...I mean who isn't sorry when they go to confession?
