I believe in GOD and Iam catholic!!!...

i'm catholic too..... but sometimes i wonder if i'm a very good one. lol.

thats the whole idea man, we dont know where we come from. if you believe in god, how is it that god existed before everything else?? theres just no answer. and if you believe in the big bang, or anything else like that, well..... there was nothing, and then stuff just exploded? what caused that?

see what i mean? theres not any real way to explain it. but thats what faith is about. i dont care what it says in some book. no book has all the answers. but, faith is about not having all the answers, and just looking inside and trying to connect with what you really feel, whatever that is, and being able to believe in it, and believe that theres more out there than what we understand in this life.

that said, whatever you believe in, its fine by me. whether its god, or buddah, or allah, or jehovah, or whatever.... you can believe in a can of creamed corn for all i care. lol. its not like i have all the answers.

The law of cause and effect says that every effect must have a cause. Many atheists ask that same question, with the mistaken assumption that GOD is an effect, too, so must have been created or caused. This shows a fundamental misunderstanding of the nature of GOD. GOD is not an effect, and thus needs no cause. Part of the nature of GOD is to have the power of BEING in and of GOD's self, so GOD is not contingent on anything or anyone for being.

Note, too, that if anything exists then such a BEING as just described must logically be. To see this, consider that if there ever was a time when nothing was all there was, then all there would be now is nothing. By the word "nothing," I mean both in the sense of having no actuality and of having no potentiality, just in case you or someone would think, "Maybe there was a time when there was actually nothing, but potentially something, which eventually was actualized." In other words, nothing is all that comes from nothing. Thus if anything exists, then something must have the power to be, and GOD is a term used to identify that "something" having that power.

I think that Creation proves that there must be a Creator. But who created the Creator? All we are told in the bible is that GOD ALMIGHTY has always existed. I also believe that in the end he'll tell us everything aka The Meaning of Life, etc......Oh by the way in the bible the New Testament in the book of Hebrews it says that JESUS created everything in the beginning. and also the Father calls the Son, GOD. Thats for those people who don't believe in the Divinity of Jesus.

Never! God was not created this universe. Billions of yers ago there was nothing! Emty dark space! I think you know about the humming sound which can be hear in dark "space". I think when this sound come to an uncontrollable state...lead to Bibang?! Really iam not beliving in existence of God, because anything never comes from and empty space!!

Well it does not matter of what religion you are believe. Think it over and deeply, why do we call him God if he has been created by the hand of something? why do we call him Creator?

Dear friend, of course it is beyond our mind and heart. Wise man says, we are only human...what can we do? God is the biggest of all, His wisdom, passion and love are beyond our mind.

God himself created all kind of living things in this world. He is not created but the creator. Praise to God for his magnificent grace that we (human) can know Him personally

God is of indefinite existence. He has no beginning and no end. Always has been and always will be. Read the bible.

if so many believe this without question why is it so hard to think about it as us (souls) having an indefinite existence? Im not saying you should believe in this or not. Im just saying why not question it?

Maybe, God and creation are a circular effect. It's hard for humans to think of this because we live in a dimension where everything starts and ends. But it is possible that the universe and time are like a circle, no end and no beginning.

being catholic has nothing to do with this question. god is the one and only creater. there are no more before or after him. he is here to be here. nobody created him. that is like asking which one comes first . the chicken or the egg? you just simply cannot answer or have proof. all you can have is what you believe in and your faith for it.

Firstly, i;d like to say thank you for allowing me to answer this question.

In Islam, We believe Allah is the First and the Last. He is the ever living. Therefore, He always existed, and always will.

The idea of eternity and something before the creation of the earth, is a hard concept to grasp to us, because we are human.

Allah created us with limited knowledge. and since we are only a weak creation, it is not to us to understand everything. for verily, Allah is All-Knowing of the seen and unseen.

This particular Question was posed to one of the Greatest Scholars of all Time in Islam; Imam Abu Hanifa (May Allah have mercy upon him)


This is his story. I hope you find it helpful, and May Allah guide you to the Beautiful Religion of Islam, where we Only worship the creator alone. ameen!

There was once a man who was an enemy to Islam. He had three famous
questions that no person could answer. No Islamic scholar in Baghdad
could answer his three questions...thus he made fun of Islam in
public. He constantly ridiculed Islam and the Muslims. One day a
small boy, who was 10, came along and heard the man yelling and
screaming at Muslims in the street. He was challenging people openly
to answer the three questions.

The boy stood quietly and watched. He then decided that he would
challenge the man. He walked up and told the man, "I will accept your
challenge". The man laughed at the boy and ridiculed the Muslims even
more by saying, "A ten year old boy challenges me. Is this all you
people have to offer!"

But the boy patiently reiterated his stance. He would challenge the
man, and with Allah's help and guidance, he would put this to an end.
The man finally accepted. The entire city gathered around a
small "hill" where open addresses were usually made. The man climbed
to the top, and in a loud voice asked his first question.

"What is your God doing right now?" The small boy thought for a
little while and then told the man to climb down the hill and to
allow him to go up in order to address the question.

The man says "What? You want me to come down?" The boy says, "Yes. I
need to reply, right?"

The man made his way down and the small boy, age 10, with his little
feet made his way up. This small child's reply was "Oh Allah
Almighty! You be my witness in front of all these people. You have
just willed that a Kafir be brought down to a low level, and that a
Muslim be brought to a high level!"

The crowd cheered and screamed "Takbir"...."Allah-hu-akbar!!!"

The man was humiliated, but he boldly asked his Second
question... "What existed before your God?" The small child thought
and thought. Then he asked the man to count backwards. "Count from 10
backwards."

The man counted..."10, 9 ,8 , 7 , 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1,0"

The boy asked, "What comes before 0 ?" The man: "I don`t
know...nothing"

The boy: "Exactly. Nothing was before Allah, for He is eternal and
absolute." The crowd cheered again...."Takbir!"...."Allah-hu-
akbar!!!!"

The man, now completely frustrated, asked his final question. "In
which direction is your Allah facing?" The boy thought and thought.

He then asked for a candle. A candle was brought to him. The blessed
child handed it to the man and asked him to light it. The man did so
and remarked, "What is this supposed to prove?"

The young boy asked, "In which direction is light from the candle
going?"

The man responded, "It is going in all directions."

The boy: "You have answered your own question. Allah's light (Noor)
goes in all directions. He is everywhere. There is no where that He
cannot be found.

"The crowd cheered again...."Takbir!"...."Allah-hu-akbar!!!"

The man was so impressed and so moved by the boy's knowledge and
spirituality, that he embraced Islam and became a student of the
young boy.

So ended the debate.

Who was the young boy?

The young boy was one of our leaders and one of the greatest
scholars, Imam Abu Hanîfa (May Allah bless him).

Well the world had to start somewhere,,so why is it so hard to believe that God is the beginning of everything as we know it?
