I think they sell a product in the pet store that is a stain remover for the eye ducts. I've seen it in Petco in the shampoo aisle.

those are tear stains, not a big deal. I work in a kennel and we see it all the time. It kinda of like how is a white dog chews on its foot the hair on the foot turns pinky-brown. Dog's saliva and tears create discoloration on their fur. Grooming and keeping the area around the eyes clean helps, as well as making sure nothing could be irritating the eye to make it watery. Other than that there are a few products on the market to help clean up those tear stains. Check a petstore and ask if they have anything to help clean it up.

If your dog has a colored discharge from her eyes, she could have an eye infection. There are little wipes available at pet stores for cleaning around your dog's eyes, but if this is a change in your dog and it's been happening for more than a couple days, you should get her to a vet to be examined. If it's in one eye, she could have an eye injury, or she may need an antibacterial ointment.

we have 2 maltese's (white) and a buff colored lhasa apso that have the same problem. it can't be avoided with white/light colored dogs.
you might want to first check to see that the dog does not have any ingrown eyelashes. this means that the eyelashes (even just one) may be growing inward, toward the eyeball. this could irritate the eye, and make the tear ducts overreact. this happened to our male maltese, and he needed surgery to remove that eyelash follicle.
if that's not the case, you can use a product that we use called "White on White". it basically is a animal safe product that restores the white fur, without damaging it.
a trip to your local groomer (or a search online) should lead you to a product. groomers usually sell something for this problem.
good luck!!

If you can afford a computer and internet access, you can afford a veterinarian. You can't help your dog if you don't know what's wrong. Take him to the vet and get an actual diagnosis. Not every illness or condition has a home remedy. Most don't, or we wouldn't have had to invent medical and veterinary science; we'd still be going to the herbalist for all our needs.

if you got to a pet store like PetSmart or Petco or whatever you may have around you can buy an almost like shampoo product. it doesnt cost all too much and you use it on the area and it will clean it up.. I think you have to use it on a daily basis but its about the only thing that will work. Good Luck!

It won't go away. Groom her every fews weeks. Or do it yourself. Just don't hurt her eyes how ever you get it out. I have two poodles and my sister that has moved out also has one. They always have it. Just clean it by taking her to the groomers or yourself. Good Luck!
