I'm really fond of a Thai restaurant called "Siam Inn". It's on 8th Avenue between 51st and 52nd Streets - an easy walk to most Broadway Theatres, and very close to the 50th Street stations on both the 1,9 subway lines and the C line.

They are quick, have a wonderful inexpensive menu, and are always so pleasant!

If you don't mind a little bit longer walk, 9th Avenue between about 46th and 59th streets has a lot of good inexpensive restaurants as well.

If you can find a diner, that's usually a good place to eat affordably.
