I think I would pay up to $7 depending on the cupcake and the location. Some fine cupcake vendors in Chicago deserve even upwards of that.

The best cupcake I have ever had was made in Chicago by a woman who only bakes for special events - and they cost $5 each. My favorite was chocolate with a peanut butter (soft) center.

4 dollars or so would be the most i would spend on a cupcake mainly because i would have to buy 5... one for each member of the family and that would equal 20 bucks
