Some years ago, my platoon sergeant took us on an unbelievably long, hilly run for pt. After a while, one of the squad leaders asked how long we were going to run. My platoon sergeant replied, "Until we stop."
It's an old line, been used many times before and since; but it applies just the same.

i'm British. i did not help the 'causes' for our engagement/involvement. that is been shown that those causes were 'pretend' (or were they?) ....... even if that is not any longer 'that straightforward'. UN 'investigators' (re WMD) were continuously 'thwarted' through Saddam. there have been distinctive UN resolutions on which no-one had the braveness to 'act'. It became in undemanding words after 9/11 - (revenge?) - that action became taken and instigated through united states. were we 'incorrect'? do not comprehend. I do imagine 'timing' became badly incorrect. per chance causes too. yet in reality the lives of innocuous civilians is being more advantageous - democracy(?) looks a pragmatic proposition. This advantages the human beings. No. Our troops might want to no longer come homestead now. it should be an utter waste of lost lives, protection rigidity and civilian, in the journey that they did. the in simple terms precise, humanitarian 'purpose' would in no way be fulfilled. even if we'd want to continuously be there or no longer - and why - is a 'political' problem. allow's no longer undermine our troops - very courageous and courageous adult males and females who do their pastime inspite of non-public perspectives.

The next president will bring our troops home. For now, all we can hope for is a reduction in troops. But that doesn't look like it's gonna happen in the near future, due to the recent civil wars among the different religous factions.

I would say about 5 years time. Because everybody are being big headed now. Iraqis are too confident that they can manage their own country by themselves with the militants and other stuff. On the other hand, the Americans too feel they are still needed in the country. Bush doesn't trust anybody in the Iraqi goverment unless he has a reliable connection and cronny in there.

A reliable source? How could anyone know? I'd give it til the second term of the next president, unless he/she is really against our presense in Iraq. Try comparing it to Vietnam.

How long have we been in Bosnia? Yes we still have troops there. December of 1995 until now and that was not even considered a war.

Won't even come close to ending until Bush is long out of office and the president elected after him has cleaned up his mess. I give it another 12 years.
