To be honest with you I really don't know but it is really stupid to fight over religion. those christians who don't respect other religion is considered biases, or racist. So I believe they are bad people themselves. But remember, other religious people are like that too, so not all christians are like that. there is only one God in this Universe and I don't think God cares about thousands of religion. What God really cares about is that you go to heaven.

Many Christians don't respect other peoples religions because they doubt their own. They are insecure with their own beliefs and so they lash out as a way of dealing with other religions because it's much easier to do that then take an honest look and understand why that other person believes the way they do. More open minded and true spirited Christians don't have this same problem. I think most Christians who act this way carry a belief that the bible is infallible, despite it's blatant contradictions, revisions, left out sections, the fact that it was written by men, the fact that the bible itself never claims to be infallible, the fact that 99% of the people that read it don't do in its original language. You don't want to get me started...

I am a Christian, and although I think it is unfortunate that you box all Christians into the category of "disrespectful", I do know that some of us can be.
Respect was never a question of religion. Disrespect stems from not being respected or not knowing how to respect. Maybe the people you came in contact with are merely afraid of what you represent - something completely foreign to them.
So if you're shown disrespect, please do not respond or react in the same way. Spread a little love. It goes a long way.

Respect me and I respect others. Hardest part of Christianity is to forgive others even when they haven't asked for forgiveness. There are other religions you could go after that clearly do not respect other religions, it's in their text. I won't list them. No matter the religion, it's the person who is not respecting you, not the fact that, that person says they are a Christian. Don't judge, lest you be judged.

I don't think it's a question of one religion that is disrespectful of other religions. 10 people may answer this question and all 10 may be of different faiths. Each was raised to respect and practice that religion. It's not a matter of disrespect, it's a matter of what you were raised with. Just be happy Christians are only trying to spread the Bible and not bombing your house.

You are wrong. Most Christians totally respect others. We are taught that God is the author of the universe, the creator of all people, and that his son came to this earth in human form to be the messiah, the savior of the world. Christianity teaches that all of us are fallen creatures but exalted by God. I am not exalted because I am a Christian ... I have worth because God provides it to me. All nonbelievers are God's creation, and are called to be in his heaven for eternity. The apostle John wrote that God so loved the world that he gave his son for us, so that all any of us have to do is believe and salvation is there. Romans 8 is where Paul - the apostle to the gentiles, like me - teaches that nothing can seaparate man from God's love. Jesus, his son, gave his life to save us. Everything in Christianity says that all people are God's children.
So if you don't see this the way I see it, I can tolerate and respect our differences. After all, God made us brothers. No one has a higher place in God's kingdom. As Christ said, the first will be last, the last will be first. I think we are all just doing the best we can - ok, most of us. I think God's plan is to save both of us from eternal death.

I believe this view is mostly based off of a common belief that the largest and most powerful group never respects the smaller groups. Although, unfortunately enough, there has been a level of disrespect in many of the more unrespectful parts of culture using christianity as a tool to express their anger.

Because they haven't learned how to be truly christian yet. A true disciple of Christ has love for all people. Those who bash on other religions are stirred up by the spirit of contention, which is a product of the devil. However, just because someone believes in Christ, doesn't mean that they are perfect. Many people who consider themselves to be Christian also drink booze, have premarital sex, use foul language, are easily provoked to anger, and have many other sins of which they must repent.

Most Christians believe their religion's the only one right.
And to the people say others do it too... well... Yeah. They have to stand up for themself in return. Don't act like you Christians are constantly attacked. I seem to remember the Crusades being a part of your history, Christians.

It's not a Christian issue. It's a human relations issue regardless of religious beliefs. People don't respect other people's viewpoints, period. Religious differences is just one excuse used.
