Rent the movie Hitch. (PG-13) The main character gives another character advice on how to dance. It is good advice.
You stand in front of the person you are dancing with. You look at them, you step to one side, you step to the other side back and forth in time with the beat of the music. When the song is done, you thank your partner and you dance some more or you sit down.
Besides it is a funny movie. Kevin James Kisses Will Smith!

First you have to know what kind of music would you like to dance to.
Then, you put that song on your stereo, in your room completely by yourself, close your eyes and start feeling the rhythm. And then go with it!
Dancing is about feeling. Your body has to feel the need to dance. It's not a rational thing, you can't think about it.
When you're on the dance floor, look at other people dancing and, in a subtle way, imitate them. But not too much, otherwise, you're gonna feel silly.
That's how most people do it.

dancing in a marriage party need not be a perect and composed dance . stop thinking tht u cant dance, get into a frsh and jolly mood and just let urbody move with the beats of the music and u will see tht u too r dancing . all tht matters is the mood. keep it perfectly jolly and enjoy the songs

watch them dance for awhile. pick out some moves that 2 or three peoaple are doing that is the same, then so what they are doing. You dont have to bust out break dancing to fit in dear and know, practive makes perfect. if you dont start trying it out somewhere, then you will live a danceless life. and if anyone makes fun of you, then they probably wont be out there dancing anyway, so who cares

it depends on what kind of dancing there is. if it is formal, you could ask someone with more experience to show you how. if it's wild dancing just get up and dance the way you think is right!
