Not everyone who have children before they are married go without using protection. I've been pregnant 3 times and all 3 times I used some sort of birth control. My first was concieved by using a condom and yes it was used properly. I lost him due to a miscarriage. My second was concieved while I was on the birth control patch. There's really no way to mess that up. My third was concieved by using a Nuva Ring. It was really hard to not use that properly seeing as how my doctor was the one who inserted it. All 3 pregnancies were by the same man. Even though they weren't planned, we love our 2 daughters more than anything. I still love the son I lost as well. I don't regret getting pregnant at all. My fiance and I still aren't married. Thats only because we want to have a ncie wedding which we are saving for. Hope I cleared that up for you

Well i for one am one of these people i was 6 months preg when i got married. I cant say it was the smartest thing i have ever done but i was only 18 not even out of high school had 3 more months to go but it really ruined my plans for college. But i would say that sometimes we just have sex to have it and sometimes we dont think oh i might get preg we just have it to have it. Who needs a reason when you are 17 or 18 and maybe some of us just think that it will keep us with a man we like just because we have a child with this person.

I have heard of some people who actually believe that just being together equals the same committment as a marriage (I don't agree but I don't judge either) They just feel as if they don't need "the law" or government telling them that's what they have to do.
There are also the accidental pregnancies that no one expects (and they don't really try to prevent)
You also have to count the rape cases where an unmarried woman doesn't believe in abortion or adoption.
So in my opinion the answer to your question is there are a few different reasons as to why people have kids when they are not married, it's just up to you to decide which of these reasons is the answer you are looking for.

Because times are changing. It used to be shameful to have children out of wedlock, but it quite common now. I have one child and pregnant with my second, I've been with the same guy for 3 years. We haven't really had the money to get married even though we want to, but we wanted to start a family together. Plus, most marriages these days end up with divorce, so isn't it a little simpler to just not get married?

what the difference being married or not?? i have a friend whos parents have never been married and her parents have been together for 30years or something like that but still they had kids unmarried how ever my parents where married and have 3 kids and got a divorce. my parents don't love me and my sisters anymore or anyless then what my friends parents would love her and her bro. marriage doesn't determain on how you raise and love a child, and marriage is just a bit of paper saying that the man practiucally owns the woman

This is a horrible question. Just because two people aren't married doesn't mean that the baby won't be loved or have a great life. Everybody doesn't believe in waiting for marriage and they don't have to.

There are alot of irresponsible people, but then again some people are afraid of commitment. Also, some girls I know have gotten pregnant and then they get help from the government so that they can go to school and get an apartment and they also get childsupport. So in a way, they're getting it all, I don't think that is fair to people like me that got married and waited to have my children, but then again our government likes to penalize married, working people.

I actually have 2 kids and have never been married..
last i checked you don't need a marriage certificate to get pregnant and I care for my kids by myself and do it just fine
there is no law stating that we aren't allowed , we don't live in 50's anymore where you have to be married before you can have sex
what the hell do ya need a piece of paper saying that you'll be together forever when in all actuality if your gonna be together forever...... .just do it ....besides that all good things don't last forever , its a proven fact

Because some people think that only nutjobs get married, and think that the sain approach is not getting married.
Why do people get married if they don't have kids?
