Where in the Bible it says that just because Jesus fulilled the law that we don't need to obey it today, especially since he also said "I came not to destroy..."?

I am speaking of the ten commandments, not the saccrificial laws.

Why have most christians rejected the old testament?

I think the 10 commandments still apply but the things people in the old testament had to do, like sacrifices to forgive sins and going to a priest or the head to talk to God no long apply. Jesus was the ultimate sacrifice and it says that "No one gets to the father except through me [Jesus]." Hope that helps.

Matthew 5:17-18
Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. [18] For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

So far I have found no Scripture that the law has been dismissed and the Scripture above relates to the law still there. Even Paul mentioned about being under the law or under grace (Romans 6:14). This was written AFTER Jesus died. This establishes the fact that the law did not pass away, but the old covenant did.
The old covenant had faults (Hebrews 6), the new became a better witness. It witnesses to the works of the Holy Spirit (see 2 Cor. 3:6)
The Ten Commandments and the law are still in effect today. If God said the Old Testament is no longer needed, He wouldn't have included it in the KJV.

The word of God says to not add or take away fom the holy bible and a lot of religions have because they don't believe in the Old Testament. Some don't even believe in the New Testament especially when it comes to Jesus the living God!

Eph 2:15 Through his body on the cross, Christ put an end to the law with all its commands and rules. He wanted to create one new group of people out of the two. He wanted to make peace between them.

Jesus said in Matt 5:18 "What I’m about to tell you is true. Heaven and earth will disappear before the smallest letter disappears from the Law. Not even the smallest stroke of a pen will disappear from the Law until everything is completed."

It WAS completed so it DID disappear.

Old Testament Jews are just that. They live the old Testament Teachings. They are not believer's that accept the TRUTH that Jesus is THE CHRIST, THE MESSIAH. Old Testament Jews are waitng for the Messiah's FIRST coming. What Jews think is the FIRST coming, is actually the 2nd coming. The Rapture.

New Testament Jews, believe this. {Jews WERE the chosen people, in the Old Testament. In the Old testament, Jews were the only people that could go to heaven. IT'S THE "NEW TESTAMENT JEWS" THAT ARE THE CHOSEN PEOPLE NOW. JESUS CAME TO FULFILL THE LAW OF MOSES. THE CHRISTIAN AGE STARTED ACTS.CH.2:38 THE DAY OF PENTACOST. "THE HOLY SPIRIT FELL UPON THEM". JESUS SAID: I WILL SEND "THE HELPER".

TODAY, ISRAEL IS THE "CHOSEN LAND", ONLY "SPIRITUAL JEWS" CAN INHERIT THE NEW KINGDOM} IN THE OLD TESTAMENT.
JESUS CHRIST'S FULFILLMENT OF THE LAW OF MOSES, BECAME EFFECTIVE AT ACTS.CH.2 NOW. "ALL PEOPLE" OF EVERY RACE, CAN GO T0O HEAVEN BECAUSE WE ARE ALL "SPIRITUAL JEWS THROUGH CHRIST".
ONLY "SPIRITUAL JEWS" WILL GO TO HEAVEN. THATS "ANYONE" WHO ACCEPTS JESUS CHRIST AS THEY'RE SAVIOR.

Christians are the only New Testament Jews. (Spirtual Jews) through Christ. Gal. ch.3:27-29

This is why...there is so much hatred and fighting going on the the world.

There is a WAR going on. It's NOT a war of man vs man. It's God Jehovah vs Satan.

ISLAMIC RELIGION IS, OLD TESTAMENT DOCTRINE. Old Testament teachings today, are NO longer in effect.

It it a "SPIRITUAL" war. God wins in the end. The Christian souldiers who fight this are God's Army. Christians will inherit God's New Kingdom. period.

A person is a soldier of God Jehova and is in His army, or he isnt.

meaning, either your "saved", thriugh Jesus Christ or you not.

First of all not all christian denominations follow sound doctrine. I think that you might (maybe) be a 7th day adventist. I have some adventist friends. and we discuss this occasionally. You should try Colossians 2:12-23, Romans 3:9-31, and 1 Timothy 4:1-16

i asked that question once when i was a kid (don't take that the wrong way); i was told the old testament is before chirst (bc) and the new testament is when christ came and of course he started showing everyone the light.

i hope i'm taking your question right; you want to know why people think we don't have to go by the ten commandments? i'm with you on that; I don't have a clue as to why....i have to stop there.

Rom 6:1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
Rom 6:2 God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?
Rom 6:3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?
