I can just tell you my personal experience, when I was 14, I dated a 17 year old. I was about to be a freshman in high school, and he was about to be a senior. I think the maturity level and amount of independence is too different to sustain a good relationship. For example, he had is own car and could go wherever he wanted to, while I couldn't drive at all and there was no way my parents would let me go out with him anywhere. Also, I was very intimidated by his friends because they were all older and I didn't know what they thought of him being with me. I was only 14, and beginning to date, so I wasn't as open as he was with expressing his feelings. Obviously our relationship didn't last long. Bottom line, I think you should stick with someone your own age.

Depends. If you two were older than 18 (she was 19 you were 22 or she was 22 and you were 26) that would be no big deal. But 14 is a little young for a 16 year old. I would wait until she's older.

uhhh... no. not okay. aside from possibly illegal depending on your state, and aside from the fact that its just plain creepy, and aside from the fact thats what wrong with girls your own age, and aside from the fact that it doesnt say a hell of a lot about your social skills that your dating a 13 year old, the fact is that you wont be dating her. you will be giving her a series of expectations that will have have to fulfill, whether you mean to or not. girls that young can be very impressionable and vulnerable, and just because it wouldnt technically be sexual assault or rape, that doesnt make it right. and it may be technically child molestation in your state. so theres a quick and easy way to get on the sex offender registry.

yes
my bf is 16 and i am 14 and he is the love of my life...i have never loved anyone more and we r very happy. age has nothing to do with a relationship. but becareful for the age laws in yr state. where i am i am considered a minor and my bf an adult...if we r caught kissing in public he could b arrested for rape.
good luck
let love lead the way

well you really shouldn't be dating you should be thinking about school and what you want out of life, but to answer your question no its not a crime that you are almost three years apart. My husband is 6 years older than me. So all i can say is good luck and take your time with life and no unsafe sex.

she is 13 years old and has the mentality of a 13 year old...you should realize this and start moving on to girls your own age or older....go now and do not look back...

I KNOW SOME PEOPLE WHO HAVE DONE THAT. IT IS OKAY AS LONG AS YOU DONT HAVE SEX. tHE ONLY PROBLEM IS THAT SHE MIGHT NOT BE MATURE ENOUGH FOR A RELATIONSHIP...AND WHEN YOUR 13 YOUR WHOLE OUTLOOK ON LIFE AND RELATIONSHIPS ARE DIFFERENT THEN HOW THEY ARE WHEN YOU ARE 16

Better to leave that along and focus on girls your own age...use condoms and get no one pregnant --- focus more on getting a good education and career.
