I've heard a lot of bad things about the LDS Church. I would like to mention that one of the answers before me mentions what they have heard about the Church MEMBERS and not about the church. Every church has less than Perfect to even really bad members. Polygamy is also the worst thing I have probably heard although there are some outrageous tales of the LDS church doing all sorts of things. I don't believe a lot of the tales because my Brother is a LDS member.

Go read this book:
"Under the Banner of Heaven" by John Krauker.
It will give you some history of the LDS church and how it has led some its followers to do very evil things, mostly those on the fringes of the religion. Things like killing babies, raping young girls, slaughtering innocent people and so on.. good stuff.
I however do have some neighbors that are members of the LDS church and are extremely nice people.

basically flow to the closest ward the place you reside this coming Sunday. Pray and proceed to repent and you'd be the extra clever for it. savor the conferences. I had fallen away into state of being inactive and had stayed that way for 32 years. finally, I moved previous my many excuses and found out that i must be forgiven of any sins--different than blasphemy against the Holy Ghost--and back to finished fellowship, yet in yet another state and ward. That replace into six years in the past and now i'm a Stake intense Councilor and am blessed to be waiting to fulfil the calling. solid your fears aside and initiate back to the Sunday conferences. With a heart-felt yearning in the direction of forgiveness with the aid of actual repentance you will do nice--basically as maximum of alternative contributors have executed formerly you. the father in heaven is happy on the alternative you're making.

On Sept. 11, 1857, a group of California-bound pioneers camping in southern Utah were murdered by a Mormon militia and its Indian allies. The massacre lasted less than five minutes, but when it was over, 120 men, women and children had been clubbed, stabbed or shot at point-blank range. Their corpses, stripped of clothes and jewelry, were left to be picked apart by wolves and buzzards

That, at the highest levels, murder is free game for those in power.
But wait, that's like any organization that's large eonugh.
Maybe having a personal relationship with your creator without ANY kind of organized religion isn't such a bad idea
But wait, then how would we be controlled? SInce we all do SO want to be controlled, it's FUN!

Everything about them. They are a false manmade religion crated by a false prophet. They have attempted to alter their history in an effort to make themselves look better. They teach false and on-Biblical doctrine. They limit the forgiving power of God. They require more than just faith for salvation (the Bible teaches us differently see Ephesians 2:8-9), and they follow the teachings of a man (their false prophet) instead of using the Bible and the Bible alone for final authority in all things. SOLA SCRIPTURA!!!!!
