The first and last letters in the Greek alphabet. Equivalent to 'the beginning and the ending.' This phrase is used in Revelation 1:8, 21`:6, and 22:13
It refers to the risen Jesus Christ.
Rev 1:8 “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.”
Rev 21:6 He said to me: “It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To him who is thirsty I will give to drink without cost from the spring of the water of life.
Rev 22:13 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.

According to Revelations and the many references used to denote the "Alpha and Omega" we know it be God the Father and God the Son - which probably means it includes God the Holy Spirit - making it the Trinity, but the Holy Spirit is not specifically mentioned as God the Father and God the Son are. Many teach that God the Spirit will be of no essence once there is no mankind on Earth, but I find that teaching difficult to accept, as if he was important enough to send out over the void of the earth in its creation, then he's probably important enough to keep around after this earth has reached its demise.

All crap christian answers. Here's the REAL answer. The alpha is above your head and connects you to your higher self, god, angels and divine inteligents. And the omega is at your feet area and grounds you to the earth, to centre, ground yourself and to materialise your thoughts. You can say that they are like channels or something, and in some people they can be open or closed, if closed, you feel completly disconnected from god.

I hope you're asking this in reference to The Bible & not who's who at your local college fraternities. In The Bible, He is The Alpha & The Omega; He, of course, being Our Father, who art in Heaven.

According to the passage where he tells Moses that he is the alpha and the omega it would appear to be god. However we all don't know that. the story happened eons ago, if you believed it happened.

God. And in the Book of Revelation, God speaks through Jesus saying the same thing; Jesus being the "Word" (words) of God, i.e., exact representative, the expressed image.
This is where some people get confused. In the Gospel of John, Jesus says quite plainly he speaks what the Father told him to say, exactly as the Father told him to say it. Jesus also explained that the works he did was what the Father showed him to do and he did it.
