No super-anti-mormon stuff please, just what do you think is the funniest way to offend a mormon or say something that they might take the wrong way?

Psyche! I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (aka the mormons) and after 21 responses to my question, nobody has really given me an answer that would offend me. I have had a good laugh though reading through all your weak sauce attempts. I highly doubt anything could shake my faith in the church. Believe me I've seen a few anti-mormons in my day and you guys are all totally weak. I mean none of you even mentioned "Oliver Granger" or even went so far as to discredit the Prophet Joseph. If you guys want to step up to the challenge of offending a mormon, you're going to have to go back to school cause all these comments would make a mormon laugh (if they had a sense of humor) before they would be offended. Try at least something clever like, "well no one can prove Joseph Smith saw God" or something. Then I'll just be like, "think any one would believe you if you said you saw God? Well 11+ million people & counting have recieved a spiritual witness hedid

They don't get offended. They will just go away and they will pray for you. They only want to bring the words of God to you. Why would you want to insult them? Would you insult a soldier? Do you insult Catholics? How about Jewish people?

I would say that Joseph Smith was a pedophile and a sex addict, and that all the apostles are liars. I would say that Mormons are naive to the point of near blindness. I would say that the temple ceremonies are designed to make people feel stupid. I would say if a church can get people to wear church brand underwear, they can get them to do anything. I would say that the church intentionally dumbs down its membership so they won't find out too much about church history. And I would say that the LDS church promotes more bigotry and hatred than nearly any other organization. And I'm not just saying these things, they're actually true.

anjelkake,
Hmm. The church is called "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints". One of the strongest beliefs is that God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit are 3 separate beings - and that Jesus is the SON.
It just amazes me as to what some people will say without any knowledge on the subject.

Just insult Brigham Young. It's not difficult. Read about the Mountain Meadows Massacre. You bring up Young's complicity in that to a Mormon scholar, and you'll tick them off for sure.

Ask them how they know Joseph Smith was talking to God. How did he test the spirits?
In the Bible it states that the true answer would come, I am your Lord your God and creator, and this is my son Jesus. Mormon testimony states that Joseph Smith recieved the answer, I am the Lord your God and this is my son. Satan can be a number of people's Lord, but not creator. Satan has many sons, but none in the name of Jesus. Joseph Smith was led by Satan, not by The Creator, God.
I used this information to a woman who was trying to 'convert' me at a dinner party. I brought her to tears, and she was re-evaluating her faith, not knowing how to combat this information. Mormons do study ways to counter act all principals in the Bible, so learn your Bible and learn to go to "battle" with their arguments against Jesus being the SON of God.

absolute control of people (mormon and non-mormons), and this is still true today. i dispise and hate all mormons intensely, and no! im not jealous of you, why would i be? you are all very dangerous loonys

I take great offense to this as I am Morman. Maybe you need to do some serious soul searching so you can be a better and more kind person. I feel sorry for you that you are this way and wish you the best that life has to offer.

Go to the Utah lighthouse ministry site for a very informative look at why they don't need to be a Mormon.

I'm LDS and I only have 1 wife(that's all I can handle..in this life or the next).I don't think by "bringing someone to tears by insulting them was what Jesus wanted us to do..that's not something I would be proud of.
