First of all, I think 'every time' is a bit too inclusive/universal, unless you are referring to your own experiences, which may be the case. If it is, then perhaps your manner of 'rejecting' needs to be modified.

Recipients of rejection are not exclusively males either. Women are fully capable of reacting similarly! Regardless of the affected gender, rejection is neither an excuse to degrade anyone, nor is it an accepted excuse to act and/or engage in a malicious and juvenille manner. Such conduct resolves nothing and merely perpetuates the staus quo! Therefore, responses need to be examined if a desirable outcome is sought.

Rejection that will be met with a negative backlash should be a consideration when one prepares to reject. Hope for the best but prepare for the worst, as the saying goes! Nasty responses should reinforce any doubts one may have about a person.

Rejection is difficult for the recipient as well as the 'rejector'. The rejector needs to walk a fine line that balances compassion while maintaining resolve; easier said than done. Meanwhile, in order to cope with rejection, the recipient may initially respond
in a way that is self-reassuring. Unfortunately, character assassination/ degradation of the 'rejector', are the most efficient and convenient means in achieving this reassurance.
i.e. ' I may not be perfect, but you're not so great yourself...' etc.

A more important variable worth consideration is the effort to prolong/extend the inevitable. What I mean is, insults and derogatory comments are made in order to elicit a response; thereby prolonging/extending the contact/relationship. The goal is to keep the 'lines of communication' open. By keeping them open, hope is sustained. Sometimes, hope is all that is needed.

Reflect upon these points and consider them in the future. I hope they are in some way helpful to you. Best of luck!

Well, when men feel rejected, which usually happens when a girl rejects them, they don't know how to deal with it, and take it as a form of disrespect. Even though a women has the right to say no, they always want her to say yes, and when she doesn't, they feel hurt.

you are rejecting the right men, the good men can take rejection
with no problems!!! unless you are rejecting them like a *****.
if told no in a firm but respectful manner, a good man will take it in the same manner. there is no shame in rejection, it is a part of life. I'm usually the one saying no thank you, but it works both ways!!

It probably has to do with self-esteem or ego. Most guys (but not all) think they are better than women, just because they have few few muscles, or whatever. It sucks, I'm sick of being treated like I don't matter by every guy I know.

Well, I never have, but can see why some would. You build up your nerve to ask a girl out, and instead of turning you down with some respect, she makes some rude comment to embarrass you, and you just want to belittle her as well.

when men are disrespectful to women, they can see reasons why they don't respect that woman. it could be that, that woman is not the type of a respectable one, who could be a troublesome when you encounter them.
