I THINK I know how you feel, and what your thinking. I say I "think" that, because I know that no one human being can get in side another's head and really KNOW. Its just that what you said sounds a lot like me years ago. With that in mind, please forgive me the assumption if I'm wrong. Its just that I found a different take on the "God" concept that worked for me, and given your question, I'll share it here. I say I'll share it. Thats not to say I'm out to change your mind if you don't believe, or try to change what you may believe. Share is ALL I mean. I'm not into converting people, thats not my gig. But intelligent sharing when some one asks a real question, well thats cool. But years ago I sat down and asked myself, "OK, if there is a God, what would God have to BE in order to BE GOD?" I decided that for God to be God "it" would have to know everything, be every where present, have all power, and be eternal. Then I asked myself another question. "Can I find anything that fits this definition?" I figured that if I could find something with those attributes I would have found "God". Simple enough. The funny thing was ... I actually DID. The Universe. In physics mass equals energy. Every thing boils down to one thing, ultimately. So there is only one thing, or in this instance One Thing. It contains all knowledge, is every where present, has all the power that exists, and, given the idea that the Universe expands and contracts and that energy goes on in one form or another for ever, it is eternal. So ... I became a pantheist and monist. You might like to check those two things out. It, for me any way, makes believing in a Great Spirit both logical and personal. Personal, hey, I mean if its all One Thing ultimatly then I'M a part of It, and not apart from it. Anyway, just a thought to share. ~ Peace & Blessings ~

Whether "God" is a man or a woman depends entirely on what makes an individual comfortable and whatever that individual can best associate with when thinking of "God." Man, woman, Black, Caucasion, Chinese....it doesn't matter. It all has to do with what works for the individual regarding a strong relationship with "God."

Blessed Be!

When evaluated, the word "God" can be broken down into "an unknown power" by all people, answering the question of who created the universe. There is no way to prove for or against God, it's just pure belief.

Imagine a man or woman creating earth, imagine a man or a woman creating the stars and naming them by name, and imagine a man or a woman creating the first man and woman. The proof is everywhere.

God is neither man, nor woman...God is both. We are all created in the image of God, which means that God can be neithermale or female. try to read a bible.

You're actually right...God is neither man, nor woman...God is both. We are all created in the image of God, which means that God can be neither exclusively male or exclusively female.

There's a lot more that could be said on this subject...but I think that answers your question.

God is a matter of faith, which by definition requires no proof or even evidence. The fact that you want to see proof implies that you have no faith.

hmmmmmmmmm. Proof that can give? none.

You wouldn't believe it if you could turn it on like a lightbulb.

You would find another reason.
