I have tried bars, group get togethers, work scene. It all seems to fail. Personals, random luck. its all the same. Im fighting time and really want to meet someone what is the first step and following steps I should take?

I came out of a relationship i thought I would marry the woman, she made my life complete. When times got hard she left (my parents both died). I am a little mistrusting I admit. But, its been so long I dont know what I am doing wrong. I know I would treat a woman right and I am not a tight wad. I am understanding to feelings and just want a woman that hasn't locked herself down to someone that can work the maze. I am in the same fault. I guess....

intovert, sophisticated, great vocabulary, sharp dresser? Good grooming ? Come off desperate or too aloof( UNSURE)? interesting ? diversified?r mousy and quiet? Do you latch on to someone elses? Are you a frivolous spender? obnoxiously friendly? i asked .....

Just be yourself and show your self-confidence. A sense of humor is helpful too. This may sound primative but it's like being a peacock and showing off your feathers. Trust me, it will get you noticed!

Are you an introvert or a retrovert? Sophisticated or a redneck? Have a great vocabulary or a poor one? A sloppy dresser or a sharp dresser? Good grooming habits or poor ones? Come off desperate or too aloof? Are you interesting or are you boring? Chauvinistic or not? Judgmental or diversified? Loud and brass or mousy and quiet? Do you have your own friends or latch on to someone elses? Are you a tight-wad or a frivolous spender? Unapproachable or obnoxiously friendly? Ask yourself these questions and it may help you.
If you have someone you're interested in, approach them and ask them to go for dinner. Take is slow and don't be pushy with a commitment or it could scare them off. What have you got to lose? If you are failing, then try looking within yourself and be as objective as possible, but be natural and do what comes natural. I hope you find the love of your life. Best of wishes!
ps- I don't know all the circumstances of your life but with your additional information, I think it's possible you are in love with the nostalgia of what once was. I also get the feeling that you want to find someone just like your last lady of whom you adored. You can't because she's an original and maybe you compare your ladies to her. I think that is a set up for failure right there. I think you idolize the "perfect" person in your mind and your standards and expectations of a lady maybe so high that you can't be interested because she doesn't fit "her" mold. It's coming across that you are very pressured and stressed and it's no longer fun and exciting, but a conquest to "find" her. You need to live your life and try to stop, slow down, and realize that it may never happen but that doesn't mean you need to shutdown as man and give up. She's out there and maybe you're not supposed to meet her until later in life. I think there's someone for everyone but it doesn't alwasy happen when you think it should. I really hope you find her and live a beautiful life together. ;-)

Lower your expectations if you're looking for someone to marry.
Maybe you're so perfect that all you're looking for is another perfect female to complement you and your lifestyle. Maybe the woman of your dreams is afraid to approach you because you have everything under control.
To increase the chances of meeting someone, loosen up a little and make mistakes that will make you appear more human. Don't be afraid to ask women dumb questions, on even the ones you already know. The dumber the better. For example, "Why is Goofy allowed to act like a human being when Pluto is just a dog?" or "Why is blue blue?"
Women generally love to give advice and help to guys who appear clueless and baffled. It gives them a sense of purpose and a genuine feeling that they're helping someone. (Like I'm doing right now! haha) This is actually a great ice-breaker that you can use to speak with girls and pique their interest in you.
Give the unattractive, fat ones a chance too!

Well, a lot of girls don't just look at what you look like. I know I don't. Some girls need someone with a wicked good sense of humor, or super intellegent. I don't know you so I have no idea what you're like. You need to be bold, because sometimes, girls don't like to wait and play games.
