It doesn't have to be expensive, you could just go to the court house and your wedding licence, however most people like to have big events, which of course are very expensive.

well, I have no answer to that question. But you can make it cheaper as well. I know that it just depends on how expensive your taste is... Mine is pretty expensive... Just deal with it and move on..
