A couple of days after bleaching and dyeing my hair blonde I went into a pool that had just been treated with chemicals. I come home, wash my hair, and notice something "strange" about the appearance of my hair... The chemicals had turned my blonde mane into a Martian-Green disaster! I had no idea how to get rid of the green so I ended chopping it off!

I've had that experience, what you really need to do as followed is this: 1) Go to the hair dresser, ask for their advice. Show them what color you DID want it, and what color it turned out. Ask them what you can do. 2) Head home, and just learn to wash your hair with shampoo and conditioner, once or twice a day. The color will rinse out more, and drain and eventually will return to your main color . 3) Don't redye your hair, unless you have proffecional permission. Good luck!

I once wanted to cover my grey and thought I'd try a blonder shade to do it....I was waiting to rinse the dye out and noticed on the bottle, the fine print (of course), it said "Do not use if you have visible grey"....YIKES, I rinsed as fast as I could, but ended up with orange, and I mean Ronald McDonald ORANGE hair...Thank God it was a temporary dye, and 12 washings later I had my lovely, never-to-be-messed-with-again grey hair.... LOL

My birthday was coming up and I was going somewhere special for it , so I bought a kit for highlights. I tried to give myself copper highlights but they turned out to be this really light shiny pink color with some gold flecks in it. I then had to get another dye to go over those highlights so that they would look like they were originally supposed to do. I never tried to give myself highlights after that.

My husband was into dying his hair all different colors in high school. Once he dyed it red, but it came out pink, even though he had bleached it properly. When he saw the pink, he tried to bleach it agian, and it only died the roots, and just fried the rest of his hair but didn't change the color. So he came out having while and pink hair for a while. :)

I died my hair light brown one time and it came out a light purple, then my mother had a great idea of trying to "strip" it out with baking soda and dawn dish detergent. I let her, my hair looked "old lady grey" afterrwards! Nedless to say, went to the beauty salon the next morning as soon as it was opened and stylist dyed my hair a lovely auburn and cut about 5 inches off my hair!

it was when I gave my mom a hair dye and she looked like Bozo the clown. She cried, I liked the red color, but she hated it and didnt want to be seen dead or alive in public. I felt really bad, so i went out and bought her natural color and redid it. She than loved it. :)
