Definitely not, as much as i want to everytime i go back i am faced with sad memories as well as good one but the sad outweigh the happy. The rents are 100 to 200 dollars higher and if you want a high paying job it involves manual labor or McDonald's. The city is still in array and the levees are still not fixed. My parents house had 6 feet of water and is still not fixed due to the contractors taking their time and the FEMA trailers although free are not what we are used to. It is Very Hard. I started a new life in Texas and as much as i'd like to go back I wont live in a city built like a swimming pool, once it fills up again it's gone.

I moved from Metairie before the hurricane and I said after I loved it so much that I would go back if I wasnt rooted in Indiana with a family now. However with all the crime that is there now, NO WAY - they are gonna kill each other off down there. 5 teens in one shooting - no thanks - that could have been any innocent person that got shot in the middle of gang (assuming) crap. New Orleans is a lovely historical place and its a shame people have to make it ugly.

i probably wouldn't. I dont think it would quite be the same. It would probably be best to start a life somewhere new. There might be too many horrifying memories there.
