I took it out of the freezer last thursday to defrost in the fridge but I forgot it was there. It doesnt look or smell funny but I don't want to chance it.

DON'T THROW IT OUT!! Put it back in the fridge. You can eat it tomorrow as long as you cook it past 155 degrees and it that will kill any bacteria that has formed on it. Is it a whole chicken or pieces? If you prick it with a fork the juices should run clear, not cloudy or reddish. You can tell if it's rotten by smelling it.

If you keep it at 36 degrees or lower you can keep it for up to 5 days. Above 36 no more than 48 hours.

I would go either by the date on the package or just two to three days and then toss it out. If you are not sure when your going to use it freeze it before the expiration date and it will last longer that way.

I think 48 hrs post defrost is the max limit.

Not very long too, raw meat spoils very fast, I wouldnt keep it in the fridge for more than two days

two days unless it has a good sale by date but I doubt it if your had it in the freezer. Use your better judgement.
