I have this friends with benefits guy...and it's actually working out really well. We totally mesh well. We are very comfortable together. There isn't any wierdness at all. Yes. We have sex. But we just as easily hang out. No pressure. No talk of committments.
But it's usually just pool and the bar. Back to his place. And I end up slipping out around 7 am the next morning.
We have great conversations. I am so comfortable with him.
Would it be breaking the friends with benefits law if I asked him to dinner? or to a show? or some thing besides our usual bar and pool Saturday night? And how would I go about doing that, anyways? I don't want to freak him out...I don't want any pressure...I don't want us to get serious.

It's okay as long as you don't bring up feelings and emotions. This is when I freaked out when she started saying she loved me and asking me how did I feel. When you're friends with benefits you don't expect anything, you don't want to hear none of that moo-shy woo-shy stuff!

Chances are that if you both are comfortable around each other, he doesn't want things to change. Although everyone is different, asking him to dinner could possible ruin the relationship you have. In the end, you have to ask yourself if you are willing to risk what you have for something that could be better.

yes it would ,you two have a unwritten rule,if the two of you arent doing anything or any one else then its benefit time,by asking him to go places that arent your usual is breaking that rule, but in my opinion you all ready did and you know it,you are becoming emotionally attached, the thing you have to ask your self is do you think he wants to take the next step and commit, its up to you

It's possible, but very hard. If he has any commitment fears at all, trying to date him may ruin your friendship.

Then leave it like it is, from my own experience once you brake the routine then all else brakes too.
