I have RCA F19440 tv. Recently my tv was unable to display the broadcast channels.. In to order to receive broadcast signal I had to connect my antenna to my vcr, and then connect another cable from the vcr to the tv. And then only in TV/Video mode with my vcr on was I able to watch tv.

Did something happend to my tv, so that it doesn't pick up the signal anymore?

If you now have your antenna hooked to your vcr and the vcr hooked to the antenna "F" connector on the TV and you can get channels WITH your TV tuner (vcr in tv mode) then you should be ok to try it back on the TV. If you have to put the TV on,say, channel 3, vcr tv/vcr switch in vcr mode and change channels with the vcr tuner, then you have a problem with your tv tuner. RCA was having lots of trouble with solder connections on their tv tuners to the mother board. I have had to re-solder several of them to get the TV tuner to work again.

change the autoprogram option from cable to air, then you'll pick up the broadcast signals
