Would you be upset, i would not care, why not just continue on our current course and when the earth cannot support life, we move on. Its that easy, evin a virus can figure that much out, they do it all the time, arnt we more advanced than a virus.

your very kamikazi question almost proves that you are a Christian
am i right or wrong ,i just answered a similar question and because i feel lazy i decided to give the answer to you as well
callousness is
Mainly a Christian attitude speaking from experience of having lived among various kinds of cultures ,including African and central American Natives.as well as African and American Christian cultures ,
it always astounds me the ignorence that exist with this culture ,and always the response is the same.
1)God put these animals here for us ..we can do with them what we like .
2) humans and animals are not of the same concept animals have no feelings or emotions
3) when we die we go to a Paradise far more beautifully that here on Earth,so what happens here really doesn't matter
4)Nature is ugly full of devils and is meant to be turned into civilization and agriculture
5) when people die custom demands that some trees are cut down as well ,for a coffin and lots more for crosses and temples
these five concepts are responsible for most of the worlds environmental destruction (of both flora and fauna),contamination excessive farming ,pollution, excessive hunting ,extinction of Natives, deforestation,
and this culture is the planets biggest enemy
Pagan cultures philosophies are exactly the opposites of the ones listed above.
every thing you eat and drink and breathe comes from the environment ,including the climate and your clothes indirectly (today at least)as well also your shelter
people tend to loose sight of that
beause every thing come from the supermarket for them
it would have far more impact if you said
what if there were no more super markets
if there was no environment ,there would not be any more super markets
and you certainly are not more advanced than a virus ,you are a virus
when the Anunnaki evacuated Mars ,before it was knocked out of orbit ,they could escape to earth because it was so close ,
if what happened to Mars ,is gonna happen to Earth because of the same attitude of their descendents.
we got a problem ,because the next inhabbitable planet is up till now way out of our reach
And you would not be allowed on the escaping space craft any way ,me neither ,that would be reserved for the Elites only

OK, let's accept your premise that we just can move on. All the technlogical challenges are overcome and we can physically move to another place to exploit and destroy.
Have you determined exactly where this place we can move on to is located? Have you determined that this place has all the resources we need to survive as a species?
And how many of us actually get to "move on"? Are you willing to accept a decision where just a select few can go? Those in power, those with wealth, those who are viewed as having essential skills can move on. But what of the rest of the earth's population? Or do you envision a kind of modern Noah's Ark story here?
Lastly, would you feel the same if you were told that you or the generations of your family in the future that were alive were told that they don't get a ride on the bus?
You seem to be the "grass is greener on the other side" kind of person here. Have you actually looked to see if there is grass on the other side? Have you considered the fact that you may not be allowed to step on that grass?
Maybe it would be better to water the lawn on this side instead, eh?

the way that i see it this is the only environment that we have and it's people like you that make it harder for us to take care of it. people like you think that we should just move on and give up, but we are a very intelligent and capable group. we could easily take care of the one that we have if only everyone would contribute and help. if we don't take care of this one, we won't have one at all. so it's either 'think about the environment and help' or 'we are all gonna go down with it'. our population is way more advanced than a virus, it's just that most of them are simply choosing not to use that intelligence for better use. they would rather waste time on making games or building things that we don't need. why not take that knowledge and use it to repair things that are already in existence and help people who are less fortunate and try to help save the environment. stop taking over it and use what we already have built as a start to make something better.

Where do you suggest we move on to? We couldn't even get the people out of New Orleans and take care of their basic needs when we had the whole rest of the country to help out. We better just take care of this planet as long as we can.

You have the right to think anything but not to do. We make the envirment. But if there are more people who think like you, than sure the envirment is in serious danger.

Well walking out is the easiest thing we can do..but as the most advanced of social animals, its our duty to take responsibility, and besides think of this, if you say forget the environment- you yourself will be wiped out, you're a part of it , REMEMBER??

Um - and where, exactly, would you suggest we move on TO? How do you propose to get there? If you think just moving on is all that easy, that's evidence aplenty that you haven't been thinking at all!
