we called my grandmother grandma (last name), my kids call one grandma and the other Ma (first name). I have heard Nana, Grammy, Gran, Maw Maw, Mom Mom. It depends on the preferences of the parents and the grandparents. Some grandparents don't like certain titles and some don't care.

It really doesn't matter what you want the child to call her, because he/she will say whatever comes out of their mouth! My son started calling my mom NaNa. So that's what has stuck.
