Haha! Love the last comment. Hondas and Toyotas are better cars for the most part (more reliable and better built), but you also have to pay a premium when you buy and own one. They are thousands more expensive to buy, more costly to fix, and god bless you with the insurance rates. Chevy and Ford have both made junk vehicles in the past, so I can't say one is better or worse than the other. Although, Ford seems to have developed a reputation for making some terrifically junky vehicles. Do I even need to mention the Taurus or Contour? I'm hearing the new Ford 500 is showing signs of Taurus-like reliability already. I can't think of any Chevy vehicles of the past 10yrs that have THAT kind of reputation, no matter how bad some models may be. Do I even need to mention Ford's notoriously crappy automatic transmissions?

What kind of a question is this?
Ford or Chevy what. The Chevy Corvette or the Chevy Malibu. The Ford Mustang or the Ford Tauras. All companies have good and bad models. It depends on what you are asking. Better know more about what you are asking before you ask.

Neither, FORD is FOUND ON ROAD DEAD and Id have to say that most people won't even buy Chevy anymore but they do look better than the boxy fords! FORD! I have 6 fords and not one has give me a problem. I have previously owned 2 chevy's and both let me down terribly. Here you go...

This question always causes controversy but the smart people ALWAYS go with ford! FIRST ON RACE DAY!! Oh yea and I've got a mustang that will eat any chevy you put up against it. Where do chevy people get their proof??? THEY DON'T! THEY CAN'T! FORD THE BEST SELLING TRUCK FOR EVER OVER 28 YEARS!!! TOP THAT! Ford, because they just are! It has been a battle for over 50 years. Chevy can't even compete with the ride a Ford provides. You will hear the rumors, anti-Ford people start them. Once you drive a Ford, you just don't feel right driving any other vehicle. I have been driving Ford's for 25 years, built Ford tough, that's the ticket!

Ford for sure, every chevy we've owned had trouble and they were new, plus after about 4 to 5000 miles they raddled like crazy. Check out consumer reports they always go with ford over chevy or shi/y.

You have asked the question that is the main topic of arguments from the nas car minded males in America.
A Chevrolet is an easy car to work on and have worked on as well as the least expensive in the same way.
Ford makes the best 6 cyclinder engines that were on the market in the past as well as the present. You cannot beat them for performance, gas mileage, as well as longevity, they rarely need repairs and are the most forgiving motors I have ever had the chance to own.I have seen one that I owned run out of oil. I MEAN ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD OUT OF OIL. Pulled it home, changed the sludge that remained with new oil and filter, and it did not even smoke when we started it . I was astonished to say the least.
Cherolet has the best resale value of any vehicle on the market,
Chevrolet has very good engines but they produce the best 8 cyclinder for power as well as gas mileage that you can get .
They can take a licking and keep on trucking as far as trucks go in automobile types. Chevy trucks are great.
But if you want a truck that has got guts and can pull and never give up on you get a Dodge. They ain't ugly and they are dependable as hell, but as far as gas mileage goes , well they are not on the top of the list. But they will outlast any other one on the market today.

EDIT-- I have had an experience with an off road Jeep Renegade 83 model that I would like to say a little about.
That was one bad mother. It would go anywhere we asked it to go, and get us back to the house. But to work on it and make it do what we asked of it, well the word JEEP means Just Empty Every Pocket and it will never be the one to come in first on race day.

they say a ford means fix or repair daily and a chevy on a quite day you can hear the ford rust figure that and that should tell ya chevy
