If you want to do this it is for life so you need to totally change your way of eating and exercising. This is not a diet rather than a healthy eating plan for life. So no more talking diet cause it means time limit. Stop making some major mistakes wake up earlier and get active earlier your metabolism is sluggish and needs to be woken up this is half your problem.

Here are the golden rules:
Initially cut down to 1200 calories.
Exercise 6 times per week for 1 hours a day. Do three weight sessions and three cardio sessions. No gym involved.
Don't eat carbs after 4pm, never eat carbs within 2 hours of exercise or within 1 hour of exercise.
Drink 3 litres of water per day. You can have a green tea at the end of the day.
Limit your fruit in take to 2 pieces per day.
Never eat dinner after 6pm.
Adopt of low GI eating plan this is sustainable for life!
Make low fat dairy choices

Follow this menu plan as a suggestion:
Breakfast 7am - 1 cup hot water w lemon
20 minutes later have a bowel of oats w water (no honey) OR
fruit salad w low GI soy yogurt
Snack 10am - pear or apple (both low GI)
Lunch 12.30pm - multigrain sandwich w 50g tuna & salad (no butter)
Snack 3pm - low GI yogurt OR skim berry smoothie (no honey or banana) plenty of ice, 1/2 cup skim milk & 1/4 cup yogurt
Dinner 5.30pm - 120g grilled lean meat/fish/prawns/tofu patties (not fried) w spinach salad & mixed vegies (no whites, carbs) OR 3 egg white/soy omlette with ham, cheese and tomato
Snack - 1 scoop of low cal low fat ice cream (if hungry)

Exercise is must be intense. Refer to www.bodybuilding.com for your weights routine. Never do weights two consecutive days have a cardio day in between.

Cardio needs to include running, go hard up stair wells and cycling. You get the most benefits from exercise when your body is totally fatigued and this is when you see changes.

To maintain you can increase calories to 1500 and reduce exercise sessions to 3-4 times per week. If weight creeps up again due to holiday period etc.. go back to 1200 cal and 6 sessions again.

Good luck it worked for me it can work for anyone.

Well, I'm no fitness instructor, but I think the key to maintaining your weight is to find simple exercises you enjoy, not ones that you will get burnt out on, not ones that you will get bored with -- simple ones. If you have small kids, put them in the stroller and go for a walk. If you have a choice of taking the stairs or the elevator--take the stairs. Play frisbee at the beach. Go for a bike ride. Go for a brisk walk through the mall.

Most people would lean more towards eating healthy over a regular exercise routine--but I'm like you, I eat constantly and I find it hard to "count calories" or eat extremely healthy. However, I am an exercise nut and I stay pretty active, that's how I maintain my weight. Start out slow, any activity is better than none. Taking a walk everynight is a good place to start. Fresh air is good for anyone :)

You could exercise and keep the same diet or you can eat foods that have a lower density of calories. Also you can EAT more water like in juicy fruits and raw vegetables like carrots and celery. Site below explains food that you can eat by the tons without getting overweight.

Biggest cause of fatness among Americans is the refined wheat which is the main ingredient in pasta, bread (some fat people just eat too much bread), donuts, pizza, hoagies, sandwiches, bisquits, crackers, pretzels, pastry, cookies and cakes.

Also meat is high in protein which is good. But they inject fattening hormones into the animals since they are sold by the pound. Then people ingest those fattening hormones while eating meat and cannot understand why they are gaining so much weight. More on site below.

Here is what you need to do, if you are serious about losing weight and keeping it off. Eat 6 small meals a day about every 4 hours. Here what that will do for you, your metabolism will increase (i.e. Loose weight) and you will have more engry. If you go on a diet and eat less, your metabolism will slow down and store to fat. That is why diets dont work. Only the size of your fist, carbs (examples:baked potato, pasta, oatmeal, beans, corn, melon, apples, fat free yogurt, whole wheat breads)in one and protien (examples:chicken breast, swordfish, shrimp, turkey breast) in the other. You can also eat vegetables and salads with any meal, they dont have none or little fat). 30min cardo exercise every day. Any of these(examples: walking, jogging, swimming, running, biking, ect), Monday cardo, tues upper body (arms: curls, tricep extensions, pull ups, front press)(abdominals: leg pull crunch, leg raises), (chest: bench press, butterfly, pullover)(shoulders: front press, arm pullover, cross county skier machine)(back:seated row, lat pull downs, back extension)(YOU DONT HAVE TO DO IN ONE DAY, mix it up) wed cardo, thurs lower body (legs: leg pull, leg press, squats, lounges) fri cardo, sat upper. Sunday eat anything you want and dont exercising, you do this on sunday so your body doesnt go into starvation mode. YOU NEED TO TAKE SUNDAY OFF. If you stilck with this you will have a great body. also drink aleast 8oz of water daily! Stay away from Mcdonals, Wendys, ect because there is nothing good for you on the menu's even the salads are bad (beaon bits, cheeze, dressing, ect) Good Luck :)

That crap they said is to damn long. Simply, eat 5-6 small meals a day and exercise for 30 minutes EVERY day and, you will maintain. If you begin to lose weight just cut your exercise down to 5,4 or even 3 days a week.

You should exercise to maintain your weight. Start off with walking. If you are more advanced than walking, try jogging. It is fun and it's summer outside......enjoy it.

P.S. We all get tired of working, exercising, parenting, etc. but we do it because we have to. When I get tired and don't want to exercise, I do it anyway, sometimes those turn out to be my best exercise day. "JUST DO IT"

Last, you have to get your eating under control. You don't want to be an exercise/binge person where you exercise to keep up with your overeating. Best of luck.
